Two things before we start, number 1, Starcraft will not be in this list, for the sole reason that I played it and did not enjoy it. Number 2 is that I disagree with how Giant Bomb's lists are arranged, with number 1 coming first, so this list will be a countdown, but counting up and with number 5 being my favourite RTS game, so number 5 is number 1 and number 4 is...... lets just begin.
This was a big game when I was a kid, and there is one simple reason for that. The sweet-ass cheats, because kids suck at RTS'.
Now I've never played the first War Wind, or heard anything about it at all, but this game was a really special one. The few people who have actually played it will probably know just how much fun it can be. Sure it had an archaic control scheme by todays standards but it had a lot of cool innovative features that were never really picked up by the games of today which I think is a shame.
Elephobsters? Electric Panthers? FLYING SHARKS? This game was the shit. Sure the RTS elements werent up to the number 1 game's standards, but they were still pretty good I think, better than Starcraft at least, yeah I said it. And you could splice a wooly mammoth with an anaconda, come on. Love it.
