Way back when

Signed up for GiantBomb at launch, but didn't stick with it. I got into listening to the BombCast, though, and figured I'd take a look around the site again. Have to say, the quests and wiki-editing are quite addictive. Had a lot of fun adding information about obscure games and characters I've played, half for the sake of adding and half for the sake of quests. Anyway, it's fun. I've not spent time on a gaming website since GameSpot lost its magic for me. Don't know if GiantBomb will end up being a temporary fill or a more long-term online abode, but I'm here for now and enjoying it.

@Wilkins_III: Aw, that's a shame. The court room melodrama was my favorite part! Would have been cool to play it from the prosecution side. Anyway, I'm guessing the cases and characters are in the same vein as before which is the important thing. 3rd-person investigation sounds like it'll be more fun, there was a lot of trial and error and random point and clicking with the first person stuff in PW.

@PAJ89: Unfortunately, you don't do a lot of prosecuting as such. There's no courtroom action. It's more that you'll be investigating and trying to figure how the murders happened - and you'll end up successfully confronting the murderer with solid evidence and making your accusations stick. But the investigating is a nice change of pace. You move Edgeworth around in third-person inspecting crime scenes and areas of interest, and is implemented better than Phoenix Wright's investigating sections which I found bogged down the games a little.

@Wilkins_III - The Edgeworth game is another one I've been meaning to check out. Played the first three PW games and enjoyed them, though the forumula is a little thin on me now, playing as the prosectutor seems like a good twist.

Nice seeing you around. :)

When Giant Bomb launched, I used it a fair bit, but I gradually visited the site less and less until I came on here only for their videos (Quick Looks mostly). About a month ago, I finished the Miles Edgeworth game on the DS and saw that the page could do with some filling, so I spent a few hours on it. Then the quests thing started, and that's got me more active again.
