The best time I've had playing games this year was Batman: Arkham asylum. Sneaking, stalking,fighting, puzzles, springing taps, challenges, platforming, traps, drama and more puzzles all serve to form a delectable gaming parfait (or perhaps a lasagna) of layered wonders. The game is comprehensively speaking my game of the year.

Alost a flawless game with significant multiplayer tacked on. I liked Batman overall just a little bit more but this was an incredible purchase and left my jaw hanging several times. I guess the ball is in Epics court now to top this with their next Gears of War game.

2.5D Metroidvania goodness in a downloadable form restores my faith in game developers. This was one of my favorite surprises to come from XboxLive Arcade.

I got $20 i Toys R' Us giftcards and a janky action figure as incen tives tobuy thisgame. I hated the dated look of the charcater's faces, resented resognizable TV personalities as promninat voices but other wise really enjoyed a round of the same old covenant killin' with a new coat of paint on it. Loved the music. Missed dual wielding...it was kind of short but for $40 (if you ingore the $20 giftcard that came with it) and with Halo3 online content collected and with the new Firefight mode this really hit the spot and made me happy. Couch coop is still awesome.

Best Coop game I've played in a long while. I'm kind of pissed about them tacking lava on at the very end though.

I know that this is virtually a more colorful Mario World remake but the nostalgia worked. Coop is not coop.

A riff on Crackdown that uses Spider-Man wall crawling as a solution for explorational movement. the characters suck and the story is quite stupid but the expereinece is fun. If you could use guns, steal cars, and blow up buildings it would be nearly perfect.

I thought I'd hate it but I'm enjoying it. Kind of ugly but well done. I probably should have got the PC version but I'm enjoying it. Dark fantasy seems a little overbaked but I'm enjoying. Yep. I'm enjoying it.

Weird, beautiful, probably pagan, new agey game-art about soothing music, motion, and regeneration. It's the answer to the age old question " is there anyway to make Superman 64 into something good?" and that answer is surpisignly yes! This game is casual friendly.

This game is kind of Hulk Ultimate Destruction blended with Crackdown. It's pretty good. It has soem stuff wrong with it but it's pretty good.

It's one of the best updates of a Gaunlet clone that I've ever played.

Very attractive assets and settings in this game but unfortunately this series is starting to get "out there" in a wait that I feel hurts my enjoyment. It's getting kind of hung up on ridulous James Bond stunts and taking sideways politcal jabs. Multiplayer is pretty good.

Diabloesque slash n' loot fun for a budget price. 35 levels for $20.
