This is one of those delicious situations where one of the top results on Google is this thread. Everything apart from this seems to be threads asking this question, where a lot of people give sure answers but nobody seems to be able to provide a source for what they're saying, or stuff about the region encoding on the original Wii. I think the answer is most likely that nobody knows for sure what the situation will be with region locking on the Wii U and that if they do that information is buried pretty deep. With the long history of Nintendo choosing the forms of physical storage for their games that give them the most control though, I'd speculate that the Wii U will most likely be region locked.

Yeah how strange ... Googled "Wii U region coding" and found my own thread. I mean if the Wii was and the 3DS is too I can only assume Nintendo will stay nice and backward and keep it region locked. I might e-mail Nintendo customer support or something, see what they say.

I usually agree with them .. in the case of Giant Bomb I find Jeff or Ryan usually right on the money...

BUT I think Saints Row the Third was pretty awful and they loved that game, so it's not 100% strike rate ... reviews don't decide for me, but they can guide me and champion games I may have otherwise missed.

Why the hell weren't you wearing your seat belt?

This.

Seriously, the stuff you write about is spaced years apart (everyone has horror stories - it's life, deal with it), it happened to other people (the kid drowning was probably have a worse time then you to be fair), is common as hell (car crashes that you walk away from? happens everyday) or is because you neighborhood is shit. Wearing a fucking seat belt and take control of your life.

Also, Yahoo! Answers for help? That's like asking a crack whore for relationship advice.

...

I heard some kids in Darfur have it pretty bad. Maybe they're cursed too? :\

1. The doctors who concern themselves with your body aren't going to take anything and everything willy nilly and stick it all in some poor sucker. I don't know the extent of what goes where with organ donation, but if you're concerned with saving lives then rest assured that they probably won't take some charred lung and put it in a cancer patient.

2. I personally believe that the need to be buried and have a tomb is to selfishly enshrine yourself after your death due to your hubris while alive. If you can save even one person in your death then that is worth far more than knowing that your corpse will have its own paid for plot in the ground, in my opinion. If you're concerned with yourself even when it does you literally zero good, more than others in need, then fuuuuuuck you.

This. So much.

@TheRealJpoe: Offer all of your organs but your heart, since your heart apparently has special significance to you. They will examine and see what is usable. Your lungs are probably out, but your liver or at least part of it is fine. They can also take eyes and other things that might be of use. Even your skin can be reused for tissue donation. There is plenty for doctors to use from your body no matter how rough you think you've lived. Just do it.

And, hey, I'm a "hardcore" Christian. I'm a devoted servant of Christ. But He doesn't care about this silly flesh. It will fade away along with everything else in this world. If my body can be useful to someone else after my death, then that's just an added blessing. Don't overthink it. Organ donation is a great thing.

It's funny because after I read that all I could think was I'm a "hardcore" atheist and I think one thing we can definitely agree on is your body is useless after death, regardless of what happens next.

OP: I think if you ever met someone who's been saved by organ donation you'd know it's a no-brainer - it literally saves lives.

I never would have bought Saints Row the Third if not for the bombcast

Me too ... except I ended up not liking it at all. Still, you have to try new things.
