Mortal Kombat X moves forward with a snappier version of the previous game's fighting and some cool new characters, but the story and other features around the edges feel a bit rough in spots.
The ways that Axiom Verge resembles Metroid help set up and drive home the ways that Axiom Verge is most definitely not Metroid.
Hotline Miami's thrillingly brutal gameplay is stretched to the point of breaking in this aesthetically pleasing, but otherwise disappointing sequel.
Yay, I got a golf clap from the gooch and the langzone!
Either Dan didn't explain the mechanics or Drew just ignored trying. I like this and all, where Drew alerts any and everyone and has to Rambo combat, but the problem is he is frustrated with the game because that happens. Its awesome that he likes the story, but the game play is great too, IF, the player takes advantage of the tools they are given it becomes a really cool experience. If this series is just to kind of skim through what MGS is about, then I won't comment again. It just irritates me when Drew says the gameplays a bother when with a little patience, the game can be easy.
I feel like Dan didn't explain the mechanics because people complained at him for explaining too much before, and Drew didn't ignore any training, he just never got any, because you have to call people early in the game to get that training, and calling them later just gives newer, more advanced stuff. I also remember this being the MGS game a lot of people said put them off MGS at the time, because of the lack of good tutorializing. Whilst I understood it because I soaked up all the pre-release coverage like Dan, the lack of teaching the player the core mechanics in this game is pretty shitty
@chilibean_3 : and the rest: where are you all located. I moved to the US, and found my experience with the video player terrible overseas, but here its fine. Maybe if enough people can get together and map out where they're from, I'm betting the CBS engineering team will be able to make a case for putting work into hosting the videos both on US and certain overseas servers.
Man has anyone else had the worst luck with Giant Bomb videos as of late i feel like having them play streaming automatic the videos are stopping like every 5 secs and just sitting there forever. My options are somewhat limited since my internet is only 6 meg down.
Every fuuuckin video man. I can't stand it.
I just end up downloading them, it's not worth streaming anymore.
Its a very weird problem i can go right to Youtube and play a video in 720p or 480p with zero buffering then i come here to watch something and i can barely even play a video at all. Than some times the videos work perfectly fine. I give them a lot of slack but i am paying for a subscription and it would be nice to be able to watch what im paying for. It sucks to have the want to watch a video but than i have to literally give up watching it because it doesnt want to play right.
It is really annoying. I feel like it had been a long time since I had trouble playing Giant Bomb videos and then a while back it went shitty again. I often end up just having to drop the quality to low or let the video download.
@esahk: Jesus, I remembered MGS2 being meta and post modern as fuck, but that video is an amazing summation of just how much for a middle finger to the fans the game is.
WHERE IS MY GODDAMN COCONUT MONKEY!
@icantbestopped: Australian children's entertainment is all about the harsh reality of growing up on an island days away from a Mad Max apocalypse, and how you will inevitably succumb to a crippling drug addiction as you attempt to escape the dystopic future The Wide Brown Land will inevitably suffer.

I fuckin love this website
@BirdkeeperDan I'm almost 100% sure that that is a feature the turned off for the on stage demo to avoid them from having to awkwardly end the demo without some sort of dramatic finish.
