@Marcsman: Well you see, to play on Live you need fast internet. And fast internet in Bolivia costs a lot of money - around 60$ a month - for internet. It's not worth it to me as an individual.
But seriously guys, buy this game, it's really fun. :) And the first mission is very, how can I put it, boner inducing. I'm talking Fifth Element meets Leon.
It's a kick-ass game! I bought it along side Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and the initial idea was to play 1 level of Bulletstorm and then play the other game; I went to the store just for Capcom v Marvel.
3 Acts later and I haven't played Marvel yet.
It's really fun! The shooting mechanics are spot on and the guns don't feel 'weak' against enemies, meaning you don't have to empty an entire clip to down an enemy. I'm looking at you Timeshift!
There's a XP like system where each enemy you kill gives you points, and with those points you can buy ammo/upgrades/new weapons. Now the fun part is there are LOTS of different ways to kill enemies and as you 'do' them, you'll get bonus points.
Vertigo - Kick someone off a high ledge. Afterburner - Kill someone while they are burning. X-Ray - Kill more than 3 enemies with a single super-shop.
The list goes on, there's even one they give you if you lasso, headshot, then kick an enemy into a spike wall in a single combo. Awesome!
The characters are
really
likeable and the dialogue is funny. "You scared the dick off me." /Clint Eastwood voice.
It oozes testosterone, has awesome graphics, even better controls and a WIDE variety of different locales.
@TaliciaDragonsong: Darksiders was quite unremarkable in my opinion. Good premise, but absolutely boring to move along the game. Slow movement speed, repetitive fighting mechanics and akward progression made the game crappy for me. I haven't played it in over six months.
I'm talking about games you had no idea what they were about or even thought they would suck but turned out fantastic and engaging.
Mine has to be Vanquish. I thought it was going to be your typical action shooter made to milk cash while reviews were in the process of being written, but it turned out fantastic. I loved the mechanics of slowing down time while dodging and pwning some robots.
What was the story of that game? The fuck do I know, all I remember was some dude in a suit and a beefy reject from Gears of War, but it was a blast! Now share yours!
If it's a side campaing that would be great. I just don't want the developers to put some things on hold because they diverted resources to the co-op aspect of the game. If it does have co-op, I hope it is in a single screen and you don't need to have Live just to play it.
