I just saw the Dark Knight. I'm not going to flood anyones mind with a full review, because come on. A billionitjy amatuer journalists are banging out Dark Knight reviews and Dark Knight 2: Electric Boogallo treatments as I type this. Anyways, here's my informal, unorginized thoughts on the thing.

The Joker was perfect. Literally. He was fantastic. I am now sad about the dude who what played him dying. The mannerisms, the scars, the paint (which was sufficently worn by the middle of the movie)... Yeah. Just... Yeah.

I think I just have low expectations when it comes to comic movies. Seriously, let's think for a minute: Spiderman? Dumb. Hulk? Dumb. X Men? Very dumb. Iron Man? Alright, I guess. So honestly, I guess it wasn't that hard to impress me after all the crap I've endured. But really, Dark Knight just reeked of good. From the opening shot to the credits, the movies was no goddamn joke! It acutally reminded me of the reinvention the James Bond films underwent with Casino Royale. In retrospect, all of the other Bond movies are kinda campy... and that's totally how I felt with Dark Knight. It was simply a quality film.

Ok, so, the Joker was amazing.

Something interesting that I picked up on (or maybe I'm just grasping at straws) was the concept that the police convoy with the DA was being hunted inside their own city. Most of the dialouge and concerns in that scene could be easily interchanged with, say, a convoy run in Iraq. I really liked that. It was subtle enough.

Something kind of weird is the fact that Two Face died. They're kind of without a villian now, right? The Joker is most defently out of the mix, so who else it there? I don't know, I guess they'll have to use some obscure villian from old Batmin lore, which'll be dumb.

It was predictable, but nice that the big scary black man threw the detanator off the boat.

Well, I won't bore you any longer. I give The Dark Knight Vundebar out of Rad.
