I've been playing this all day and it feels like a weird mash up of MGSV, Breath of the Wild and the Evil Within games. I'm enjoying it!
This game is very effective at putting a new carrot in front of you. I don't think there's been any downtime yet. The story also has me interested. There isn't tons of it but some of dialogue has gotten some genuine laughs out of me (intentionally).
But I think there's a tremendous difference when that one person being shitty in a leading position and being very vocal and when that person a rando working on the assembly line.
Right. This guy is the co-founder of the studio and the creative director of the game. It's a different situation to someone say, writing a piece of code. It's a different level of personal influence over the end product.
This guy is basically the overall author for this game. Would I want to read a history book written by a gamergate supporter? Probably not. And I don't have any interest in playing a game featuring gamergate supporter's version of history.
I was actually thinking about replaying the game recently, so this is a good excuse to do just that. Really enjoyed it first time around. I wonder if it has any impact on the difficulty or balancing of the game.
Also Evil Within 2 has one of my favourite ending sequences in a game because they dedicate a decent amount of time to it. It all feels like a genuine finale.
