PeaceLoveKid: Best of 2010

The best games I played in 2010. I'd say the first seven on the list are destined to be classics.

Also, note I haven't played Heavy Rain, or God of War 3 yet. If I like either of them enough, I'll head back and add it in later.

List items

  • One of the most incredibly inventive, beautiful, and replayable games ever made. Every level rings of imagination, nostalgia, and sheer, blissful fun.

  • I love this game more for the beautiful environments, story, and voice acting than anything else. The combat is decent, but where the game really shines is developing its incredible plot through the eyes of the amazing main character. One of the most immersive and incredible games I've ever played.

  • Mass Effect 2 is one of my favorite RPGs of all time. The characters are absolutely superb, and you end up caring about what happens to each and every one of them. The conclusion is unforgettable.

  • This game is the most terrifying, yet horribly addicting and cool game I have ever laid eyes on. The initial punch of its darkness grabs you and never lets go.

  • A superbly climactic single player campaign mixed with the most diverse and customizable multiplayer ever. A true blockbuster game if there ever was one.

  • A cute, fun-to-look-at addition to the series that changes the formula up. Certain levels stick out as far better than the rest.

  • I fell in love with this game. It's brutally challenging, but rewarding. It's also a lot of bang for your buck, with tons and tons of content.

  • An extremely fun and intense platformer. But it's hard! DAMN hard!

  • Once you work past the god-awful graphics and mediocre controls, a TON of fun is to be had here, in both single player and multiplayer.

  • Expanded on the brilliant concepts of the first Scribblenauts while improving the engine and adding variety to the missions.
