Backlog 365: Day 19 Futuridium EP Deluxe

For Backlog 365 I plan on playing one game on my backlog everyday this year and write about it. For each game I will decide if I want to put it on my "Shelved" list (games that I plan to come back to and play in depth) or put it on the "Retired" list (games that I will delete or sell and move on with my life). I got Futuridium as a PlayStation Plus rental game (yeah, I’m one of those people). Like most of the, what I’ll call, second tier games Sony offers, I had never heard of it before. And it turns out it’s another one of these retro 3d flyer/shooter things. I don’t know what is going on, but I’ve seen a ton of these lately. You fly around shoot some blocks, once you shoot them all, you shoot another block! Yay!

As you might be able to tell, my heart wasn’t exactly in this game. Futuridium might be the victim of my busy schedule right now and that I just wanted to get it out of the way, but then again, when I saw what kind of game it was I was convinced that I didn’t want to be playing it. Maybe in a different place and a different time Futuridium and I might have been able to make it work. I could imagine a scenario where I am on a short trip and I play Futuridium for an hour and say that was kind of fun, and never pick it up again. But, that was not the case, and it will never be the case.
