Don't play Skirmish. Have a 70ish hour save that's running postgame 5-star missions. My current assault team:

Highlander running AC-20, LRM 20, SRM-6, and 2-3 MLs. LRMs to harass until I close and core out mechs with an alpha.

Stock King Crab: Close in. AC-20 until dead.

Stalker: Rebuilt into a LRM boat. That thing can carry a lot of missiles. A lot. A LOT.

Atlas: Comboed this guy for fire support with the stalker or close combat (AC-20 and some MLs) depending on how the fight goes.

I don't have much in the way of range and wind up taking some knockdowns. But when this lance gets in close it'll CT strike and kill 2-3 heavy/assaults in one turn.

Ok, Here's my argument for Anya's topless murder frenzy.

Anya is set up as BJ's rock. She's his reason to keep going. She's bearing his children. She's immediately set up as not only BJ's reason to keep fighting, but his weakness.

Then she goes on a mission with you and goes off on her own for long period of time and a cutscene starts with her pushing you out of danger.

EVERY video game I've ever played has taught me this is where Anya dies and she becomes the fuel for BJ's revenge rampage in act III. Which is a lazy approach to character relationships.

Not only does the game refute that, it does so in the most ludicrous, insane way imaginable. She murders and entire goddamn room of Nazis and grins down at you, topless, pregnant, and blood-soaked.

That utter defiance of the trope is why I love that moment.

@pkmnfrk:

That there is actually some kind of canonical explanation for this actually makes it substantially crazier.

First you fight a battle against Mecha Knight Plus, which is a mechanized version of Meta Knight. Then you fight the president of the corporation that has invaded Kirby's planet. After you beat him, he tries to activate this supercomputer named Star Dream. But his secretary who has been the main baddie you interact with the entire game tries to hijack it, which goes wrong resulting in Star Dream assimilating the president into it. After Star Dream makes a speech about eradicating life and what not, it launches into this spaceship. Kirby then gets in his mech, and out of nowhere the real Meta Knight comes flying by in his giant ass battleship. Him and Kirby exchange the most badass bro nods to each other, and Kirby proceeds to use the mech to absorb Meta Knight's ship. Then you fight that giant supercomputer ship thing in a SHMUP using the Kirby absorbed Meta Knight ship.

Basically, this is your Best Moment or Sequence of 2016. Also, this game is really good and about my favorite Kirby game in recent memory.

Not to mention that the giant supercomputer looks like a giant anime cat.

Also the giant anime cat face spawns completely random objects that attack you during this section (like a pocket watch that suddenly has teeth and ties to eat you, or a weathervane that shoots arrows).

It's a pretty fun, average Kirby game.

Then you fight the final boss.

And....I dunno man. I need to go sit down for a while.

Didn't have a picture, but I will describe my ship setup to you so that you can understand I am a monster.

Engi ship. Drone recovery arm, Hull repair drone, anti-ship drone 1.

2 Ion blast 2s and a Fire beam.

I maxxed out everything and had a full crew by getting lucky and getting an ion and fire beam early. Once I had the second it was cake to disable all of a ship's systems then use the fire beam to burn out the entire crew. Once the enemy crew dies you win all ship battles, and get substantially more loot, as well as the occasional weapon and crew member.

On the last battle I had a cargo hold full of secondary weapons, but kept to my original double ion + fire beam combo. With 4 shields and a hull repair drone (by this point I had like 30 drone part sets) I could just tank damage forever while the enemy flagship burned.

That's..about it.
