" This is exactly the same problem Sonic & Sega All Stars Racing encounters. They tout the phrase "no blue shell powers" but that creates a balance issue within the game.. when somebody gets far enough ahead, it's very difficult for them to lose the posistion, unless they themselves really screw up on a corner. There was one race that I pulled ahead quickly, and never saw anyone else again for the entire race, simply because they were all busy hitting each other with powerups while I continued getting further and further ahead. The opposite is often true as well, there's been a few races where I've been hit by a power, slammed into a wall and then hit again, completely destroying my chances of ever catching up. I'm not saying they should introduce a power like the blue shell that repeatedly screws whoever's winning over.. But I can definitely understand why Nintendo felt the need to include something like that now, especially in a more casual based game that isn't really supposed to be about winning all the time. "
I'm glad I'm not the only one that noticed this. In the huge races with 15-20 people, whoever manages to get in the lead can pretty much stay there because everyone else is blasting each other with power-ups. Bout time I left some feedback on the beta boards me thinks.
I've experienced some bugs on 360. It's really annoying when you kill an enemy and it just freezes in place. You can't move forward in some areas because you have to kill all the enemies. You can't kill all the enemies, because one is stuck/frozen causing you to die and reload to the last checkpoint. Very annoying.
