Loved the combat in this game. Actual tactical use of powers and that good RPG feel. I'd put points into unlocking as many abilities as possible just to get more options rather than just powerhousing the basic shooting mechanics.
OK Dan Agent Smithing Langzone is a pretty heel move but at least I don't think any of his actions were a detriment gameplay wise. He didn't put teammates needlessly in danger to protect his ego or do anything stupid like smoke grenading an enemy.
Its infuriating to hear and see what he's doing especially when he gloats but its not going to tank the game. Abby is in for a rough time next round though.
Being a heel is fine an all, people like to root against someone, but being a heel in a cooperative game just doesn't seem to make sense to me and you go from being the heel to being the load everyone has to bear. You'd hope the load would undergo some kind of character development and change in shows normally.
Not really what I saw. Felt the progression was going fine until they missed the note about the Doorknob...which was in an unmissable cutscene.
Also its like level 5 of an RPG, most games barely vary at all at that point but KH gives you spells, dodges, enemies you can't hurt from the front and flying enemies to keep things fresh while easing you in. The respawn mechanic is also pretty generous for an RPG.
I mean the game ain't perfect just think you are describing something far worse than what I saw.
Ok having seen the episode now, real happy with how it turned out. I think now Ben has a little more agency and combat capacity he is more interested. It's just a shame his concentration lapsed for the moment the cat talked about the doorknob else I think he'd have noticed it.
I hope it's not just a Jason thing but they actually seemed to enjoy it in bits and acknowledged the flaws fairly. The combat is serviceable but a product of its time.
I liked the episode with Brad too so I look forward to getting back to him now that they are free from the island assuming it rotates.
@Ben I think the white mushroom heartless is a really rare valuable enemy that's hard to kill. Like a cactuar or a metal slime.
Came to the comments to see if there is improvement from before before I watch it.
Seems to be a mixed bag but apparently the addition of Jason makes it better although low volume and actively mocking comments that are trying to help them might also be a problem?
I hope he enjoys the game and sure they get a lot better but still feel it's getting hard done by.
