Goodbye and best of luck to you Patrick! You've provided plenty of excellent content, and very good laughs, over the years and for that I thank you! All the best duder!

Sorry to re-bump this thread but, for those interested, here's a little video of us playing "Hyperdrive" at a show a couple of weeks back. Enjoy!
Hey duders, this is just a quick post to let you all know that the debut, self titled, album from my band For Astronauts And Satellites is now available to download over on our Bandcamp Page. We're releasing the digital download for a "Pay what you think it's worth" price, so it's totally down to you whether or not you pay anything for it. If you do decide that you'd like some free music, we simply ask that you at least share it with a friend or two to help spread the word!
We also have a few pieces of merchandise including a digipak copy of the album, Radar logo T-shirts and have even bundled the album and T-shirt together for a reduced price.
I wont' embed the Bandcamp player as I've already linked the Soundcloud player in this thread. If you've not already heard the album, it can be streamed in it's entirity either on our Bandcamp or Soundcloud page.
Last but not least, here is the third and final Studio Diary video from our time recording the album:
I'd like to thank you all, once again, for all of the feedback you duders have given over the past month. We've been super humbled by the very positive response that we've gotten and we're looking forward to sharing more music with you in the very near future!
All feedback, good or bad, is still very welcome!
Thanks duders! :)
@nasp - Thanks for the kind words! We've been working hard for the last 18 months to get to the point at which we currently find ourselves and to hear praise, the likes of which you've given us, makes the whole thing worthwhile and drives us to keep on doing what we're doing. Thanks again!
@bollard - Thanks duder! Earth happens to be my favourite track on the album, and it's a real pleasure to drum live! There's just something about when the first BIG section kicks in, and you feel the air in the room move from the output of the gameboy's through the PA, that gives me goosebumps! Definitely excited to take our show on the road and start playing live to folks all around the country. I've not noticed any panning issues myself but I'll give it another listen and see. It may be a little late to do anything about it, however, as the master disc has already been sent for duplication. Whoops!
Hi again everyone.
For anyone who is interested our entire album is now available to stream from our soundcloud page, check it out. The album is due for release via our bandcamp page on the 27th of June for a "pay what you think it's worth" price point. Take a listen and let us know what you think, we appreciate all feedback as we believe it helps us to continually evolve and improve as a band.
We've also put out our latest studio diary video documenting a weekend in "Drum-world". You can find that here:
@quipido - Thanks duder. Album release is June 27th, not long to go now!
@gideonamos - Thanks for the kind words. I hope you enjoy the album!
Following up on the fantastic reception we received last week for our album teaser video (above) we decided to move a few things around in our release schedule and make the first couple of tracks available for all to hear! Here's the Soundcloud link:
Give it a listen and let us know what you think, we'd love to hear any and all feedback!
On top of releasing the first couple of tracks via our Soundcloud page, we have also posted the first of our "Studio Diaries" to our Youtube Channel. Check it out!
Looking forward to hearing from you all!
@shadowconqueror - Thanks for the kind words duder! Care to share some of your favourite post-rock acts?
@spilledmilkfactory - I'd like to think we've got a good mix of Post-rock and Chiptune going on. We all love our 8bit era music but agree that it can be really hit or miss when it's a little too "video game-y". We've desperately tried to steer away from that and almost use the chip stuff to make up for our lack of a bass player and to add a few, nostalgia enducing, counter melodies in to the mix. Glad you like our sound! :)
@hatking - Glad to hear that you like it duder, I'm sorry the trailer is so short and sweet! We're currently attempting to do our pre-launch promotional bits and pieces and will, infact, have the entire album availble to stream via our soundcloud page in a couple of weeks time. If you're interested I'll post the link, once the playlist is up and running, for you to check out! :)
I don't want to sound like "that band guy" but we'd really appreciate any word of mouth promotion you guys can help give. If you've got any friends who dig post-rock, chiptune or video games in general show them the trailer and/or point them in the direction of our facebook page, we'd really appreciate the support! Thanks again guys! :)
My band and I are putting out our debut album at the end of next month. Here's a little teaser trailer:
We are For Astronauts And Satellites and we're a Post-rock / Chiptune band hailing from Hampshire, a posh bit in the South East of England. We're, also, all big fans of Giant Bomb!
A little back story on the band. We started the project in March of 2013 and, sadly, were actually at a practice session when @rorie broke the news about Ryan's passing. Heartbroken by the news, I took the following Wednesday off of work to listen to the tribute bombcast. At just under an hour in @alex spoke of Ryan's thing being to "just put it out there", to not worry whether or not something is "going to suck" and, if it does suck, "whatever, we'll just do something else!" Those words really resonated with me - someone who, until now, would hide away and only "put it out there" when I was totally happy that it was "perfect".
This album is (in it's own way) a tribute to Ryan for the hundreds of hours of entertainment, enjoyment and laughter that he has provided us as a group and for inspiring us to "just put it out there" without fear of whether or not we think it's "perfect".
I hope that you duders have a moment to check out the trailer, to visit our little website and to leave a comment in this thread to let us know what you think. We'd really appreciate your feedback!
London is only a 40 minute train journey for me. I'd definitely be interested in coming along to raise a glass.
