Thanks for the advice guys.

Since I last posted I've managed to get an interview to become a video game tester. I attended my interview last Friday, and was told that it was the first of a two part assessment process. After the interview I was told that I would hear back as to whether I'd progressed to phase two by Monday. Yesterday I received an email congratulating me and informing me that I've been invited back for phase two.

Phase two is a two hour practical examination in which I'm required to sit down with an old build of a game that's already on the market, follow the instructions I'm given and just try to spot as many bugs as i possibly can, and write about them.

I'm now after any advice that anyone has to offer with regards to bug hunting, what sorts of things I should be looking for in this practical, etc. Any help is welcome!

Cheers.

I'll keep this relatively brief. I'm currently looking for a job having trained for two years in Music production. I've come to accept that the music industry is in decline and that there is very little money coming in at one end, and thus very little to be made at the other.

I therefore have decided to turn my hand to variations of my chosen profession within other media formats, For example Tv, radio, film or video games.

I have my eyes on a company that I would really like to work for (this would indeed be my dream job!) however, a quick browse of their job vacancies page doesn't list anything in the area of the company I'm looking to work with in.

I wondered what the fine folks of the Giant Bomb forum thought my next move should be? Or whether you had any advice you could give?

I personally feel that I should call the front desk of the company, and explain myself and ask about possible career opportunities with in the company. Would this be a smart move?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers.

I'm a UK resident. I too ordered both versions of the Oscar Mike Shirt on the day International shipping was made available and, like alot of other UK residents it seems, have not yet received my shirts! Still holding out for them though!

I had a quick browse over the Left4Dead forum, but couldn't find any mention of this.

A "De-make" of Left4Dead to true, Old Skool, NES days! This is a free, stand alone, little PC game that allows for two players to work their way through all of the original campaigns. The game can be found here

Hope people enjoy this!

I ordered my shirt a while back. I havent had any email to confirm shipping or anything. Then again, I am a resident of the UK and, to be fair, it would be rather foolish of me to expect it to arrive any time during this busy festive period! However, out of interest, any one else in the UK received their shirts?
