1. I'd love some behind-the-scenes stuff, if only to get a better idea of what's actually going on. Recently, the site has been an even blacker black box than it normally is. Outside the people who view their subscription as a "tip jar" for the crew, subscribers are essentially investors in this enterprise. It's good business to let them know a little bit about what's going on and where the money is actually going.

You just reminded me how some of my favourite content used to be videos of screwing around at desks digging through the dumb mail they got. Those were super fun and with the setup the way it is now that kind of stuff just isn't possible anymore.

I'd like to be able to convey feedback in a way that won't be taken as complaining. The survey that was done a little while ago kind of put a bad taste in my mouth with how most of the questions were just jokes and makes me wonder if anyone even looked at it. I guess the best way to give feedback is to watch something (or don't) and let the viewing metrics do the talking.

I'll wrap up as many side missions as I can before the endgame. Usually just looking at the map, seeing if there are any obvious ?s around and if not, it's time to end it. I'll come back in premium adventure to wrap up any other ones you sometimes need to be with someone to trigger. As for the minigames I'll play the hostess club stuff all day, but I found myself burning out on stuff like pocket circuit racer or the drone races in Judgment.

But like some others I absolutely hit a wall with mahjong and the other Japanese gambling games. I'd love nothing more than to 100% one of these games because I love them so much but man I just can't do it.

Bad to the Bone has zero redeemable qualities. Holy shit it sucks. George Thorogood is the patron saint of pathetic dipshit uncles everywhere.

Also I did some independent research of my own and listened to that Spotify playlist and found that every song on there is listenable for one reason or another... apart from Don't Worry be Happy. I think that's the worst song on the list to be honest.

Going way off the board and I'm saying Hypnospace Outlaw, and I don't think there's anything else on the horizon this year that's going to dethrone it for me. Everything in that game clicked with me in a pretty extreme way and overall it was a hell of a unique package.

I fired up Deadly Premonition earlier this month to finally get the platinum trophy. I started playing it specifically to get the platinum about 4 years ago, but I guess I got kind of sidetracked halfway through. Oops.

I finally started Yakuza Dead Souls recently too. It's the Yakuza game nobody ever talks about, but I'm having a great time with it so far. The quick look for that game is what turned me on to the Yakuza series in general and it's kind of what made me want to get a PS3... but it took me more than 6 years to actually get around to playing it. And I'm super glad it took me that long because if I jumped into it immediately I wouldn't have liked it nearly as much. Half the fun of the game is seeing the characters from 6 other games I've played in a dumb situation. Patrick perfectly describes it in the quick look as the halloween episode of your favourite tv show, which would be a terrible place to start watching something.

I finished it a few days ago and my opinions match some others here pretty closely. In general I liked it quite a bit and it gave me a lot of the Yakuza I know and love, but the more I think about it the more nitpicky I get towards the story.

Regarding Haruka: when she woke up I was hoping for a big dump of exposition from her like @wootootee mentions above, but her and Kiryu chatted for about 5 minutes. Their emotional reunion was just kind of a wet fart. The whole baby story seemed a little straightforward too. Not the heir to the triad part of it I mean, that was pretty crazy, but right off the bat we knew that this was definitely Haruka's biological son. I was wondering if there'd be some swerve where she adopted Haruto from someone else. Maybe I'm just used to swerves from everywhere.

And ~The Secret~: W... what? What?? I guess I was hoping for something crazy, and I certainly got that. I'd love to hear what other people were speculating it was as the game went on. I thought for sure it'd be something like most high ranking yakuza or federal politicans were secretly heihaizi all along.

And in terms of gameplay, it's a bummer that sidestories weren't clearly marked on the map. I missed so many in my playthrough that I have to go back and do now with a guide just to find them.

Edit: Ono Michio better up for 2018's Best New Character in GOTY.

My voice is still incredibly fucked up from screaming about hockey for hours at the outdoor party in Winnipeg on Friday. Holy shit, it was amazing. Go Jets.

I've been buying a lot more digitally in the past few years. PSN doesn't charge sales tax so the question really comes down to do I want to pay $80 for the digital version or $90 for the privilege of owning a physical copy. It's usually an easy choice.

Years ago I used to always play with inverted controls both with a controller and a mouse, until one day I suddenly didn't. I don't know what happened but one day I woke up and suddenly had to move back to 'normal' controls.

I never thought about it again until I started playing Mario Odyssey where the camera controls never really clicked with me for some reason and I kept fighting it, eventually I switched it to inverted and it felt better.

Now my brain is stuck in some weird mix of inverted and non-inverted and I can't play anything using a controller without flailing around. I fired up the older Wolfenstien after months away and it was like I was an 80 year old playing a game for the first time. I started playing Horizon recently and started using inverted controls right from the start and it was going ok, but whenever I get into a tense situation my brain goes back to non-inverted and my view starts swimming all over the place.

Anyone have a similar experience? I have no idea what to do about it. Maybe plow through Wolfenstien on the easiest difficulty on non-inverted just to train my brain again?

I started having this problem recently as well. Windows 10 and Chrome.

I noticed this happening a couple of days ago.

My quick fix has been to go full screen and then alt-tab. Seems to fix it.

Thanks for this. It may be a temporary quick fix but it's good enough for now!
