So first they make a console that requires you to have an Internet connection to buy the games, and then they make a console that has no Internet at all?

I'm actually looking into buying a PSP, and was excited when I heard about a new model, but this is just stupid. I'll wait for more details, but definitely not buying it if I can't connect it to the World Wide Web.

Mostly Persona 4.
I bought Persona 4 back in the Endurance Run days. Bought it around episode 100 IIRC and finished it long before Jeff and Vinny did. I never got around to playing the New Game + though (since I was fresh after playing/watching the game... twice).
Lately I was rewatching the ER in synch with an online friend, who's watching it for the first time. This made me want to get hat New Game + ball rolling and that was most of my gaming time.

Besides that, some League of Legends as usual (man that game's good) and co-oping a dusted off Red Alert 3 with another friend. (because we got bored. Why the hell not. Game's not that bad.)

Last time I seriously played Counter Strike was the time Internet cafes were popular, and having Internet at home was a rare privilege because it was expensive. About the time 1.6 started rolling out, Internet became kind of affordable, and neither me not my friends stayed playing CS because it just wasn't the same.
IDK. Is CS still a thing? Or do they just want to make it a thing again like the old times? Also, will it have hats? (if you answered Yes to the last question then the entirety of gaming is doomed.)

Thanks for the hints people. I found the 2 people I was missing, and most of the duos thanks to you. The 2 Initials helped a lot of the people. And I'm hitting myself for not getting the "jumping off the bridge" hint. Guess I never figured out that I need to make that be fun and not fatal.
Looking for the videos was a pain though. I knew about the Rum one, but had no freaking clue how it was names. Was looking through all the videos on the site. Urgh.

PS: I don't know if we'll have 500 people finish this, let alone 2000 more...

Am I the only one that's annoyed that the game is still called DotA 2?

Sounds to me like the developers at Bondi should make a new studio with the help of Rockstar. Ditch the management.

I liked how the Fireworks quest registered with a certain PS2 launch game.

There can be only one Blind Monk, and that is Lee Sin, the Blind Monk.

Not a big enough install base is probably the main reason developers don't do it. It's just not "worth it" to go through the trouble.
Everyone that owns a DSi has 2 screens on it. How many people that have a PC and play games on it have 2 monitors? 1%? I'm pulling that number out of my ass, but I'm pretty sure it's terribly low.

Back in the day games were one of the things that was pushing hardware development forward. 3D Accelerated graphics cards, dedicated sound cards etc. You were buying new parts just to play new games.
Now everyone's trying to play it safe, making sure the game runs fine on machines that are a few ears old, making sure everything is compatible with Windows XP and DirectX 9. Why? Money. game development is more expensive. You don't want to limit your player base if you don't have to. Vista was a flop, almost no one had it. The only DirectX 10 only games are Microsoft endorsed.
Now that Windows 7 came out, and most people switched over things can take that one more step. Battlefield 3 will not only not work on XP, but also require a 64-bit OS. If that game succeeds it may be this decades Quake and push things forward, cause other developers to aspire to that level.

Dual monitors are similar. They're going to require a big hit game that uses it to great advantage and causes other developers to aspire to do the same. Thing is - are 2 monitors something you can eventually expect EVERYONE to have? I think not.
Could we expect that EVERYONE will eventually have a 3D accelerator and a dedicated sound card? Turns out we could but was it obvious back then? Anyone remember when dedicated physics cards showed up on the market, flopped and got assimilated into graphics cards? I bet someone thought that everyone will have a card like that eventually.
I don't think we can expect everyone to have 2 monitors eventually though. They take up space unlike extra cards, and computers if anything are getting smaller. A lot of people don't even have stationary PCs, only a laptop. 2 screen laptops? I don't think so...
