I've watched less than an hour of a 20+ hour game, have barely seen past the prologue and game has only just actually started, but I've already decided the whole thing is trash and I'm never going to touch it. I make smart informed decisions.
There's definitely a few omissions. Aside from the lack of Bethesda, another I noticed when I spotted an unconnected Double Fine at the bottom, is the lack of LucasArts. What's there is impressive and seems accurate though.
Hey guys this should have totally been DLC AM I RITE? I mean sure they're pretty much doubling the content of the game, making major game altering changes to existing characters and selling it for less than full price, but they are totally trying to screw us by not making it DLC!
A Mass-Effect MMO would not be considered "far-reaching" compared to the original game. Far-reaching means either another platform (handheld, Wii casual game) or a movie.
And I was planning on buying a lot more until Steam decided to flag my account for "fraud prevention", meaning I now have to wait until things are cleared up up with them before I can buy anything :(
They want to publish it because they OWN id software. This isn't just some spur of the moment decision, "oh that game looks pretty good, let's publish it", they are publishing a game that THEIR COMPANY is making.
