Let me tell you at little story about infinity ward....

Let me tell you at little story about infinity ward, a story which only a had full of people will know. Way back in the day, a few months before the original Call of Duty was to be released the demo for the game came out. At first it was exclusively for Fileplanet  subscribers...the community protested making an online
pension.  One of the developers who actively posted on the community forum apologized (CoD.org for the record) and the demo was then released for free.

IW was very active in the community, requesting feedback and suggestions and joking around in the off topic section of the forum. When the full game was finally released, IW used to play several MP games with members of the forum.

What do they do these days? They screw us over and then they fucking mock us as we protest!

We are one longer seen as gamers, but rather as consumer... and as such IW sees no problem with screwing over their original and most loyal fan base because there is more money to be made on the console front. IW has lost their soul.  Perhaps you'll (the average community member) just chalk this up to old man nerd rage, but keep in mind your blissful apathy and tolerance of this behavior will make this industry, more and more of a corporate entity. And the less you'll matter as a player, regardless of your chosen platform.
