This isn't so much a game as it is an interactive action movie. While in most cases I find spirited events cheapen the game and are used by lazy game developers to tell basic narratives, but uncharted does it so well that it can be excused. Everything that happens in this game is epic, and so much so that you'll go back to saved games just to show non-gamer friends the action! This is easily the best game of the year....imp P

Borderlands is the Fallout 3 of 2009. It is a flawed masterpiece in every sense of the word. The game is so fun and addictive that I can forgo the AI bugs, the lackluster graphics and the fact that co-coop is run by mother fucking Gamespy!

For the last half of the decade the industry has focused on making games for bros, grandparents and children under the age of 8. The seasoned hardcore gamers watched as A Plus. titles shifted to consoles, were dumbed down, and and all the "popular" kids were describing themselves as gamers.
All that changed last fall when Bioware was like fuck you cliffyB and released this game. It is a hardcore RPG for hardcore fans, that feels classic and modern all at the same time!
....hopefully someone will save the FPS genre in 2010.

This game is a heavily refined version of NHL 09...the best sports game ever made. It might not have have the vast amount of new features that last years game had, but it is still easily the best sports game of the year.

In an era where the video game industry demises intelligent, emotionally provocative game design as elitist, it's nice to see Flower getting the accolades it deserves. In other words fuck you Vinny. :P

Ok so I haven't actually played this game... because I don't own a wii. Because I'm not a fucking child. But I fell in love with it during the QL and that justifys it being on the list. ...so fuck off.

The fact that this series went from an honorable portrayal of WWII, to a ridiculous bro-ed out console shooter is insulting. And the way they treated PC gamers was disgraceful. And the story was so fucking terrible it was laughable. But this game is fun and really in the end of the day that is why we play video games.
Call of Duty, in its current state is a shameful joke, but renting it is well worth your time.... if only for irony sake.

Old school console gameplay with modern graphics and mechanics. 'Nuff said.

I often get mocked for liking this game... but hey it is easily the second best sports game of the year, so screw! While the ground controls are little too precise for an analog stick the game looks and plays amazing well.
