It's a minor detail, but the Wii also senses distance from the screen; the sensor bar has two infrared LEDs and the camera in the wiimote measures the distance between them and extrapol.... oh, crap, I just bored myself.
Isn't it... two consoles enter, and probably two leave?
If there's one thing I really haven't seen so far this cycle, it's EITHER console really bloody the other up much. Or rather, none of the three. Mostly there's just a whole bunch of stabbing-oneself-in-the-foot going on, with each side hoping they have enough foot bandages to stay up until the other collapses.
" its pretty awesome that sgt peppers is coming but how are they going to do certain songs?...shes leaving home is a weird one...is there going to be some string section periphirals to go with the game at a later date "
P4 really came to surface first in magazine scans from Japan. So I'd expect some of that to leak right around TGS if they're announcing anything there.
Sad truth, however, is that whenever P5 comes out, it'll be at least half a year until it comes Stateside. And My Japanese Coach just is not going to have me trained up to Funky Student standards... ever.
Until LucasArts can really prove to me that they've repented and taken a new positive course, I'm forced to assume they will do whatever route lets them gouge the most money from the most people with the least cost. Steam release it is. Then maybe an iPhone app.
I imagine this being the tale of two post-traumatic veterans of the Asteroid Battles, rehabilitating themselves in a shantytown colony and leaping out of their seat to blast apart anything that moves nearby, twitching furiously, spinning in one place, terrified to hit the thrusters in fear that they'll be unable to stop, peering suspiciously out the door wondering if they'll come back into the room from the other side.
"They say an asteroid man has three lives. I'd give it all right now just to have one without the pain."
Then the government tells them they're needed again for one last suicide mission. To save Earth.
@snide: Actually, I'd be totally behind a movie that basically retold the tale of the cancelled Warcraft Adventures... basically the backstory of Thrall. If not that, honestly the rise and fall of Arthas has been picked over several times already and I'd much rather they went forward in the timeline and started setting up Whatever Comes Next... also so that they can have some major characters enter the scene who weren't created by authors like Knaak.
" @Ineedaname: The logical impossibility is more sales in used games than in the packaged game. Not everyone who buys the game in the package will sell it, and some used copies of the game won't be resold, so it's logically impossible to derive a greater number in used sales than from packaged sales "
Actually, not true, because you can resell a game multiple times.

That's actually where I think things like the ER will have an impact... it was quiet word of mouth after P3 and P3:FES that helped make P4 so much more successful out of the gate (and 500K is an incredible number)... with the ongoing awareness that P4 is getting, Atlus's next Persona release will actually be a pretty major announcement, particularly if they finally move to current-gen consoles (I'm divided on whether I want that). Here's to hoping for something at TGS!
