I have a slowly growing folder of backgrounds on shuffle (only at around 125, these threads boost it--thanks!), but here's a recent acquisition that I'm fond of.
I guess I don't see the problem? If you don't like it, don't go. If other people like the idea, they can go.
Nothing wrong with anyone wanting to form a community where they can be themselves, network, and share a hobby. That goes for any label, category, minority, interest, etc, etc, etc.
Sure, in a perfect world, this con is unnecessary. But the world isn't perfect.
@Dvsshark: Haha, this is making me very exciting for the possibility of living out there. I've been told that Kansas as a whole is boring, but Wichita has to be tolerable. Cities of +300,000 have to have stuff going on.
I just started watching Marble Hornets a few days ago, and it's freaking me out. Probably doesn't help that I only have time for it after midnight. I found this article on GB to be highly coincidental. I generally don't like scary movies and games--but I get a real House of Leaves vibe from Marble Hornets, which I think first drew me in.
