I bought it and loved it at full price so my vote is a huge and obvious "absolutely".
 
(...plus if you don't like driving, it's not very long into the game before you can take skippable cab rides everywhere)

Half Life, Jak 2, Bioshock, Brutal Legend and Uncharted 2 are the first to come to mind.
 
Exiting the Vault in Fallout 3 was something else too.

Maybe it's just me but a sequel has never ruined my memories of the original.
 
...but if I had to pick one I'd have to say Crash Bandicoot, the day Naughty Dog stopped making them.
