Marvel for the most part has mastered capturing what it would be like to be a super hero and translate it to the big and small screens. The excitement, the camp, the humor all of it comes together so well

Where as DC hasn't really left the shadow of Nolan yet. Even Suicide Squad, which should have been crazy, silly fun was too dark in scope. That and Green Lantern was apparently terrible, didn't see it but, seriously I've heard nothing good about it. I guess we'll see if they can do a fun yet exciting superhero film soon. It's already been said that the tone of Wonder Woman won't be nearly as dark as the most recent films and action wise it looks fine.

Oddly enough, DC has gotten it's stuff together with tv and that's great but now people just want the tv stars to be in the movies and that creates a rift, however small with fans. Marvel is willing to let the two universes(movies and "tv") be one and that just works out better in the end cause I know certain characters won't get a movie but the shows are just as good if not better anyway and that's ok.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles.

I was super hyped at the premise of a 4 player action rpg in the FF universe. But once I got through the multiplayer part of the game the first time with friends and realized that you couldn't bring any materials and weapons from the session to your own save (only your levels and I had made some pretty high tier stuff) I immediately turned cold to it. Mind you, that was around the time of PSO Ep. 1&2 so design like that just seemed like a huge step back. Worse yet, I was the one that got a majority of my friends invested, about 6-7 of them, and I was the first person to drop out.

Only thing good that came out of it was that there's a running joke of me tossing the game out a window because of how much didn't like it.

Best: My aunt bought me the SEGA Genesis bundle that came with Streets of Rage 2 and that's one of my favorite games to this day.

Worst: My pops bought me Spawn for the PS one birthday and I, having no knowledge of the game itself, was super disappointed. Fuck that game.

I'd love a return to the slower paced AC games from the PS1-2 era with modern tweaks the the controls. The only real thing that bothers me is how the soundtrack after Nexus took a dramatic turn and hasn't really come back to the light hearted electronica of old. It's too oppressive and moody now, still a few good tracks but it's not as good to me.

Still, there's a few that retain the spirit of the old stuff but it's closer to AC 4 than anything old school, owells.

It's a tough choice between Demon's and Dark 1 but I chose Demon's as I really had more fun being an invisible broken mage in that game more than being a ninja flipping knight. That and status effects meant something, Plague was some scary shit and bleeding/poison made people freak out and some tough enemies laughable. Once you got your build set it just clicked for me better in Demon's than any other souls game for me 3 included. All in all I had a lot more fun and didn't pay any credence to "Bowing Invaders" or meta.

That said 1 and 3 have the most incredible level design of most any game I have played to date, that Ashen Lake tho.

It feel's like DS: Greatest Hits and I love it. Personally with all the people trying to still dig into the lore and make connections it comes off as more forced this time around. No more B-team excuses. This game feels as if Miyazaki is doing what he does best, retell the same story over and over again through time. Meaning it's literally creating it's history and the farther we get away from Dark Souls time wise, the more it feels like it really is a fable or rather the history of that world.

I equate it to the legends we still have today i.e. Zeus and his ilk, Odin and the norse Gods, etc. These stories are told over and over again as history progresses and are never truly forgotten.

I really dig the music/instrumentation but the vocals vary from song to song for me though. Overall there're pretty cool.

But, then again, I love J-Rock and such, really mostly vgm related stuff without lyrics. Daisuke!

Blast this shit with some good bass

And I swear this sounds like I-no's theme about 1:30 when the guitar kicks in. X-Japan is too gdlk.

I still think it's great. I only really dislike how much of a grind it is to complete the weapon/item development and the fully armored enemies at the end. Really though, it felt like 5* (except for a few things) was about the rank you could get most gear to while not grinding like a mad man. Mind you I played the hell out of it and did almost every mission once to get that far but there seems like a point where you have to actually do missions over way too much to finish one branch of a tree. It's a bit off but not anything that'd make me actively talk down about it.

I'm glad it it came together this good, it's like the feeling I got when going from MGS 1 to 2. It was like "oh this plays really well and looks cool, hey where's Snake... oh well game's still fun". I like it and all the shit you can do. I almost wish they went as crazy as Substance with an extra mode with crazy shit happening, oh well.

Hopefully, this type of feed back is reaching the devs and they can focus on some of the key points people are mentioning, namely a better tutorial. The last few BlazBlues and Guilty Gear Xrd have better than most but I feel there's more that can be done. Perhaps and overlay that can be used by beginners that shows options during a given situation (i.e. and opponent jumps in or does a mix up) or more in-depth information with visual feedback on the timings required to perform links or the importance of setups.

I've tried the game and think it feels great and for a person who has played fighters all my life at a more than competent level, hopes this does well and finds ways to better educate people on fighters. I do not think any random nonsense show affect balance between players to catch new players up as I feel that is something that sets the genre apart. I see a bit of a parallel with actual fighting but obviously closer to a strategy based game like chess, where it's just common sense to plan ahead and not rush in swinging for the fences and praying for the best. I hope there's a solution to having that fun factor and coolness which brings people in and teaching players how and when to do the cool shit and keeping them engaged the way certain members of the community seem to, but in the actual game and not on YouTube or a forum.
