With the original Mass Effect, party composition was fairly strict (or, at least, Bioware wanted it to be strict). Each of the six classes could be attributed to a single party member. When composing your party, it would have a nifty composition diagram outlining how much combat, biotic, and tech you have selected.
I'm wondering: does composition matter as much for Mass Effect 2? Also, can you equate a single class to each character?
" From the way they are talking it sounds as if you start a new character in ME2 you pick all the options from ME1 through dialogue choices. The only real benefit from importing your ME1 character is that you get some "bonus'" based on your level and paragon/renegade status. "
That is a negative, sir. Based on some reviews and comments from both BioWare and media outlets, there is content exclusive to ME1 importers that cannot be 'chosen' on a new character. Say, for example, that imports pull 20 choices from ME1--you will not be 'questioned' on all 20 of those occurrences. I believe Ray explained this in his 8-9 minute interview at Joystiq.
And we get a level bonus for importing? I thought it was just a small percentage of your paragon/renegade points... :S
I'm wondering how many players it'll support. The map editing trailer suggested that there would be 32 players, but that may not be the set number for consoles.
It looks absolutely amazing as a console map editor. I've never liked Far Cry, but this map editor got my attention and now I'm heavily considering this purchase.
