Report your professor to the dean. Your teacher has an obligation to promote a positive learning environment. His/her conduct is anything but learning friendly.
Edit: Typed before getting to the last paragraph. You have every right to a comfortable work environment. Many employers offer programs to move positions when circumstances like your`s arise. Better though would be to seek employment elsewhere; while still keeping your current job (gotta feed the family after all.) Put in 2 weeks notice when you get a new employer and have a graceful exit, without burning any bridges.
If you are looking to further the Ridge Racer series I just can`t recommend RR Vita enough. Like R4, Vita has some real slick menus and a great OST made up of nearly 100 tracks if I recall correctly. The courses and cars are a mish-mash of favorites from more recent RR titles as are the "machines". If you want to see some of the best the series has to offer, the Vita version is perfect.
Upon release it was lambasted for selling it`s content a la carte even though all together it added up to the price of a regular Vita title if you purchased it all.
I`d throw in for Initial D. Initial D is a well known series; but it exists at the fringes of anime fandom. People often cite the late 90`s CG or the character designs being ugly. Some even find the delightful Eurobeat tracks that accompany the races to be a turn off simply because: "It isn`t Japanese."
I`d like to tell you Initial D is a must watch. The races are grounded in reality. Real cars with real modifications in real locales are used almost exclusively. Every maneuver a driver may perform may seem fantastic; but is completely possible.
The setting and characters also help elevate this show above it`s peers. Everyone is portrayed as real people with real people problems. People complain about gas prices, work awful part time jobs, struggle to maintain relationships and form new ones as they make the transition into adulthood, choosing between work or college etc. Above all else everyone in this show is believable and relatable as a result.
One unique facet to Initial D is the setting is in the rural Gunma prefecture. Away from all the activities and social life offered in Tokyo or Osaka. People find themselves bored, many get into street racing simply because there is nothing else to do in the boonies. This gives the show a Persona 4-ish vibe.
