Sons of Liberty to me is the most well-balanced Metal Gear game yet in terms of gameplay and cutscenes. While the game is known to be disappointing by most fans because of one character taking the limelight, I didn't mind at all. I think it's a brilliant idea to introduce a new protagonist in the Metal Gear franchise and even though Raiden is sort of a sissy-looking one, he most certainly can take you down anytime, anywhere. Plus he's got a hot girlfriend.

Simply put: breathtaking. Snake Eater is a game of magnificence from start to finish. There isn't a single moment in the game that's boring or stale. Even animal hunting can be fun. The bosses are definitely one of the highlights of Snake Eater because they look awesome and provide nifty challenges which are simply amazing. Between Snake Eater and Subsistence, the (limited edition) expansion pack is the preferred choice because it has three discs filled with richness and goodness, including the three-an-a-half-hour feature film.

While I admit Guns of The Patriots is a masterpiece, I find it to be extremely overrated and overhyped. It's a superb game but not a perfect one, despite what others have said about it. Also, the gameplay and cutscenes are way out of balanced, making it seem more like a movie than a video game. Obviously, that was what Kojima is aiming for but I just wish he would toned down the cutscenes a little bit more. With a game that only has 1/4 of gameplay and 3/4 of movie sequences, it made me sleepy. I'm sorry but this highly anticipated sequel just doesn't do it for me. Not enough to be number 1 or 2.
