Excellent write-up. I'm still waiting for the patch to buy/play Fez.

It's very tiring, to be perfectly honest. But immensely rewarding at the same time. I have a 3 yr old son. I only game these days when he's sleeping (although he does like to play Dance Central and DFHAT occasionally). So the amount I game is determined by how much I want to sleep in a given week. It's hard for me to start new games that require a significant time investment, but the pick up and play stuff (Pinball Arcade or Pinball FX2, a quick round of Gears 3 multiplayer) is where I'm at these days.

@MonkeyMitcho: Fable 2 is excellent, well worth playing. I really enjoyed Alan Wake too. Also, as suggested, Viva Pinata:Trouble in Paradise. And instead of Crackdown 2, pick up the original Crackdown. It holds up well. Finally, try Minecraft on XBLA. Everyone seems to love that "Game", so at least try it out.

It would be great if Microsoft cleaned up their Indie service and turned it into something worth looking at on a regular basis.

I think they try to filter it a bit with the "Kotaku's picks" section (or whatever it's called), but the entire section really needs a revamp. Actually, acces to all downloadable games needs a revamp on the current dashboard. It's even hard to find XBLA games these days...

DAMN IT PATRICK, IT'S SPELLED CTHULHU. WHY CAN YOU NEVER GET THE IMPORTANT STUFF RIGHT

On another note: It's nice to see a (moderately) high profile game released on XBLIG, since they're are some truly fantastic games on there. Hopefully this make more people aware of the service, and maybe we will even see some new talent breaking in to the industry because of it.

Yes, I'm way too optimistic. Shut up.

It would be nice to see the Doublefine kickstarter game relased on XBLIG as well, but I doubt that will ever happen. High profile releases on XBLIG will at least get more people to realize the service exists.

I picked it up for $20 a couple years ago. Played through the entire game and enjoyed it. It's a God of War knock off, very competent. No brainer if you like this type of game. It was worth $20 to me, I'd pull the trigger for $3.99 in a millisecond.

I'll try Wreckateer and Deadlight, then purchase if they strike my fancy.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say this is being developed by PopCap.

Wrong. Epic's turned over the keys to Zynga and Rovio for this one.
