I think it would be helpful to have a section that lists some of the quests, items, characters, and other similar things that are missable on a game's single playthrough. It is rare that I finish a game more than once, and I am kind of obsessive about seeing as much of a game as I possibly can, so I often look up 'missables' beforehand to ensure that I don't progress past a relatively significant aspect. If giant bomb had a user-created section like that, it would be way better than having to sift through Yahoo answers to find this information.
Maybe you could try doing homework while watching TV, that's what I did in high-school. Now I usually listen to podcasts while doing homework since I didn't want to pay for cable while at university. It's better for repetitive homework where you just apply a formula and plug in values, whereas for essays and studying, you pretty much need some quiet time. But it's a skill I'm really glad I picked up; if I needed complete isolation to finish my assignments, I bet around 75% of my out-of-class day would be filled with silence.
I played Disgaea DS, but I know there are versions of the series for the playstation. I really liked that game - there are lots of classes to choose from and upgrade to, the characters were funny and likable, and the game has these blobby penguin guys with fanny packs and peg legs that you can throw at enemies which causes them (the penguins) to explode. To be honest though, I never finished it; I started getting overwhelmed by the senate, reincarnation and Item World stuff, but it might be a good game to play in smaller chunks.
Ya, I think gaming laptops are a lot more expensive than that. Personally though, I don't think laptops are that great as a gaming rig; they're difficult to upgrade and for the same price, you can often get a much higher quality desktop. They're awesome if you know you're going to be needing it for school or work, but if you're buying one primarily for games, it would probably be a better idea to invest in a desktop instead.
I have a quick question about installing games to the hard drive. Once installed, are you able to uninstall it later without deleting your saved data? Like if you finish a game and uninstall it, are you able to play it from the disc then using your previous save files?
I sent my 360 in too a few weeks ago. I so hope it will be back by the time I get off for Christmas break, I'd be crushed if it isn't :(... I've already bought Fable 2 and am already thinking of picking up Banjo Kazooie after I finish that. I'm not that big of a shooter guy, but I would like to try Fallout, and Left 4 Dead too.
