Vesperia was really good. I remember enjoying the combat system and characters a whole bunch. I'm kinda bummed every other game in the series just looked less good. Did any stand out ones come out on PS4?
A good Switch Pokemon game that isn't based on a design doc from the mid 90s. (I know the game is ''announced'' but we still don't know what it is. Far all we know it's a handheld Pokemon game with slightly better graphics *snooze*).
Bethesda is supposedly working on a space opera RPG. That sounds great. Hopefully it's more RPG and less Fallout 4.
EDIT: I also have to say, 15 episodes into Hunter x Hunter and I'm definitely still waiting for it to become great. I get it, long-running series sometimes take a bit before they find their momentum, but I think Hero Academia's blazing fast pacing has spoiled me a bit. I don't need assurances to keep watching (I'm enjoying it okay thus far.) but I wouldn't mind a vague episode count so I at least know how much longer the Hunter Examination Arc consists of pretty standard shounen stuff instead of all the crazy subversion I've been led to expect.
Hunter x Hunter really takes a while to get going but when it does oh man, there are very few series like it. I think it really starts to become interesting when they explain the Nen system. The phantom troupe arc after that is some of the best shounen out there. And that ending theme (the second one), damn the way it builds at the end of each episode cutting on a cliffhanger I always watched the whole thing and immediately pressed ''next episode''.
Funimation announced they're simuldubbing Steins;Gate 0. I could not be happier. It's the first and maybe only show that will get me to sub to Funimation Now.
I guess I'll have to get that too. The dub is definitely the way to watch Steins;Gate. Still a little iffy on the whole premise for Zero. I don't know how well it's going to work with most of the humor and intrigue ripped out.
I also beat it. It's not very good. I don't think the story works. Some neat sequences don't make up for unlikable characters and a generic story. Also yeah, the ending is cool mechanically but it doesn't work from a narrative standpoint.
I thought the finale was already out last week so I watched the last 2 episodes looking for a bombastic finale with good climactic fight scenes. Unfortunately I didn't see any of that because MAN is this show bad. The editing, animation, music placement, it's all wrong. I wonder if it's because the show it's weekly toei show or if the manga is just kinda bad to begin with.
@babychoochoo: RWBY's first 2 seasons are great but the presentation and fight choreography takes a major hit in season 3. The series creator passed away around then and they never could reach the same level of quality afterwards. Any of the 4 preview clips the released before season 1 looks better than all the stuff from season 3 on. It's a huge bummer honestly.
Cyberpunk 2077, Ghost of Tsushima and whatever that Pokemon on the switch is (please deliver on what I've been hoping for over a decade Nintendo).
Very much this. Also The Division 2, hopefully it plays better this time, Assassin's Creed if it's set in an interesting place, the Destiny 2 Fall Expansion, we'll see immediately if they did anything worthwhile, and off course red dead redemption 2.
@zevvion: eh, bummer. With that many people still around Bungie can stick their heads in the sand as much as they want. They'll never have to really face the fact that they fucked up since a lot of people are still playing.
