It has a strong opening, but yeah, it's not good. The team dynamic from the first two is completely jacked up in the third, and it just felt a lot more soulless in general.
I'm really torn on this game, because Metal Gear is my favorite series, and I absolutely despise survival games. It's one of my least favorite game genres. I know I'll try it eventually, but I also know I'll probably hate nearly every minute of it.
I thought it was pretty cool, but it wasn't my favorite of the MCU. Somewhere in the mid-to-high tier. I thought the actual fight between Black Panther and Killmonger was a little disappointing, though the aftermath was great.
Of course they should cover it. Countless games have been made with terrible practices. An immediate example is LA Noire. If you didn't cover any game that had any questionable stuff behind the scenes, most sites would be a barren wasteland. When a machine has that many moving parts, you're going to have a bad gear here and there. It's just the law of averages.
I didn't like it much at all. It felt utterly pointless, almost the entire way around. If Finn and Rose weren't in the movie, the climax and ending literally would not be affected in any way. Also, yes, they subverted expectations at every turn, but they subverted them into really stupid decisions. The plot was bad, flat out.
Also the new voice actor for Sebastian is also uninspired and generally worse than his old voice actor.
Damn. I was already bothered about them changing his face. I wonder if it's because of the voice actor strike.
I'm guessing it's more because of budget. Sebastian, Kidman, and the villain were done by actual Hollywood actors in the first game, and now they are all replaced with standard voice actors. TEW probably didn't make enough bank to bring everyone back.
