So what is the issue? Hype getting out of control? Or have gamers an critics just become accustomed to the patching process and release bugs can be forgiven a bitt?
The different floors challenge both your brain AND reflexes on top of that there is some randomisation at work to keep you on your toes (you can't brainlessly follow a never changing preset path that completely trivializes the challenge like in Dark souls)
There is a strict scoring mechanic in place(!)
The presentation has a really distinct art style
The music really fits and amplifies the experience
I would say this is a much more accomplished game than say retro city rampage. When i look at retro city rampage it feels like the gameplay is just a vehicle and borderline filler just to get to the gags/refferences. Hotline Miami is just 100% game, everything it offers is to support that core.
So the EU version comes with Japanese voices and English subtitles?
Awesome, even better ^_^
But we miss out on the English audio. The USA version will have both ENG and JAP audio. So its just another classic story of Europeans getting shafted for being European.
EU version = Higher prices, less features, later release date.
Personally I will be importing this game, with the lower US price im still cheaper off even after including shipping fees.
The whole eternal torment crutch always gets me in japanese horror stories. Being denied deaths release is the ultimate horror in my book.
As long as they price it 20$ or less i'l probably pick this up, Most of the story will be a repeat of what we already seen in the original game which is to be taken into consideration.
