They always moan.....

Unfortunately it's not just the rabid fanboy that constantly whines
Why on earth do we as gamers feel the need to moan about every single thing that gets announced about our favourite hobby.

I've never seen golfers moan about developments in golf club technology for example so why is it every bloody announcement about every new console feature, gameplay tweak and graphical enhancement has us as a community screaming and shouting like spoiled brats?

The new Xbox 360 dashboard for example, it's a nice clean modern design and it's going to go a long way to FINALLY reorganising all of the content on XBL, the current dashboard is clumsy to say the least, it was never designed to cater for all of that content, there's sub-menus everywhere and important settings are, at times a nightmare to find (see how long it takes you to navigate to wireless network settings, seriously).

But here we are again, it seems like every forum on the damn internet has at least 20 people lining up, ready and willing to hate it for (from what i can see) no good reason, ok the Mii style things are kind of lame but for god's sake if you don't like them don't use them, nobody is forcing you to and at the end of they day it's a DASHBOARD, i mean how much time do you spend on the thing, really? When you put your game in the drive it's still going to load up and play so is it really that much of an issue?
