OK so this really isn't game related at all, but hey that's why it's called off-topic, right? So my friends Jack Johnstone, James Story and myself have just started doing a podcast called Please Tell Me You're Human and we'd really appreciate if you guys could listen and give us feedback. Ostensibly it's a podcast about films and television (all of us are interested in pursuing some sort of career in those industries) but pretty much everything else (which if I get any say definitely includes videogames) will come into discussion as well; we're all pretty into sci-fi (Dr Who, Firefly, Star Trek, star wars etc.) so that'll probably come up a bit. So far we've only done 2 kind of test episodes so the quality's not too great, but we should be recording our first proper episode this coming Wednesday/Thursday. Thanks in advance.

@christ0phe: That or they were both influenced by previous survival horror games, the writings of Stephen King and Twin Peaks.

" This wasn't really in class, but one time I skipped school with a buddy and this hot girl.  We stole my friend's dad's 1961 Ferrari and drove it around the city.  It was amazing, we went to a baseball game and spent most of the day evading the principal really wanted to catch us being truant.  We ended up destroying the car though when it reversed out of the garage while we were trying to spin back the odometer.    Probably the best day ever. "

That's sounds like an awesome day, but for some reason it's kinda familiar...

" There was a girl who hated me in my modern history class so whenever I'd get stuck sitting behind her I'd bite off my finger nails & flick them into her hair. "

I did the exact same thing to a chick in my sociology class. I slept through history every Friday for 2 years, my desk was write in front of the teachers and he never once noticed. Didn't really do a lot of crazy stuff, but I did used to get set on fire quite a lot by a couple of my so called friends, the worst punishment either of them ever got was a science exclusion (banned from participating in practical experiments) on the very last day of the year so that it meant jack shit as we had different teachers the next year. I was also peripherally involved in getting a dude to drink a pint of piss on a school trip to Oxford because we were supposedly the smart kids who might actually get into Oxbridge. My entire philosophy and ethics played the Halo demo on the school computers pretty much every lesson; I actually mostly did the work since I found it pretty interesting.

Certainly not showing off (despite my love for them, I kinda suck at a lot of games, and know better than to attempt ot show off), but I often will make stupid/hilarious mistakes which result in death.

For the people saying it's not taboo, I believe it's more about girls freaking out if you see them in their underwear, but not if you see them in a bikini, and the reson for this is surely because the bikini is intended for everyone to see, you don't accidentally walk in a girl in her bikini, underwear is only supposed to be seen by lovers; it's not reallly about how much flesh the clothes cover at all, but about the conotations they hold: Bikinis are for swimming/sunbathing and public displays of sexyness, frilly knickers/thongs etc. are for private displays of sexyness and therefore hold much more explicitly sexual conotations.

I don't know that  it's edgier (I feel it used to be a lot better at addressing social and political issues), but it's certainly bluer; there's a lot more sexual jokes/innuendo than it used to, and in my opinion feels like it's become a bit smutty.

Rugby Union, played at school, would love to still play but since I stopped growing at 14 I'm not really big enough to play loose head prop anymore and I wouldn't really want to be in the backs (not that I'm fit enough any more). I try and get down to Headingley to see Leeds Carnegie whenever I can, which doesn't seem to be very often, but hopefully I'll be able to go a bit more from September since I'm going to Leeds Uni. I also like rugby league, boxing and pro wrestling's really fun to watch (even if it's sports entertainment, the ridiculousness is still v. entertaining). I quite like watching basketball, American football and hockey too, if I get the chance.

Not really very good at following any sports (even rugby which I love) due to laziness and the fact it's pretty hard to keep up with sports in the UK when you've only got FreeView TV.
