I think the false advertising of the playlist is not the 24/7 part of the description. It was the "We Never Close". That implied that it was a permanent playlist now.

Also I've heard of people's codes not working if they didn't redeem them at launch and tried to do it during the XP Weekend. Don't know for certain if its true but if it is some shady shit going on with this "bonus map".

To be perfectly honest I don't think Call of Duty has had a solid set of maps since CoD4, virtually every map was quality. There are rare standouts like Nuketown since then but that is an evolution of Shipment's chaos from close proximity and even then Shipment was 10x as crazy. I can still remember most the names and general layouts of the CoD4 maps and I havn't played that game in probably 3-4 years. I couldn't name you a single map from MW2 or 3 and World at War may as well never happened.

That is not to say Black Ops 2 specifically is bad, they are perfectly serviceable maps but it is more of Call of Duty's ridiculous sight lines and everything is open from every angle so you can't do anything with grenades flying in your face or being sniped.

Every time I go from the single player campaign to the multiplayer the game crashes to the dashboard saying could not load the game data try downloading the game again. For some background info I am running the game off install and I have cloud saves enabled. I get the feeling it is related to one of those but still for one of 360's tent pole releases Treyarch couldn't get past whichever of those features is likely causing this.

I forget who it was (I think Jeff) in a Bombcast way back in the day said if you're not saving and quitting in Halo that is all on you. And that quitting to the menu before shutting off should be regular behavior you do in all games anyways.

But when the game freezes, it's not your fault.

Yeah true, its just the way Halo has been for forever. And I've never once encountered a game freezing bug in a Halo game ever before though so its never been an issue before. But honestly its really not a problem. Halo has never had particularly long levels and since 3 they've had the rally points while inconsistent in how they're spread out are at least something to drop you in mid level.

Thought it was really good, not sure if better than Casino Royale or not yet but really really good. I have a hard time quantifying the Daniel Craig Bond flicks with the older ones though, they are such different beasts.

In terms of plot and character development this had more than most 007 movies combined for sure. And it was visually stunning consistently. It reminded me a lot of Prometheus. Say what you will about the movie's storytelling that movie has visual style for days.

The villain was okay, he may not have been world threatening but he was a good foil for Bond. The franchise needs to mine the rogue MI6 or double 0 territory more often I think. Javier Bardem has creepy down to a science. His first encounter with 007 is outright uncomfortable. He made it personal for Bond and M which is something villains rarely do in this franchise. If the James Bond films were a TV show each villain is just a monster of the week each with world world dominating schemes that have no relation to Bond other than he has to stop them. On that level Skyfall succeeds.

The throwbacks and nostalgia had me grinning from ear to ear and after introducing Q and Ralph Fiennes as the new M that the new character reveals herself to be Moneypenny that I was like yessss the gang is all in place now. Which I'm glad Craig has signed on for several more movies because I want to see this version of the Bond universe possibly tackle some of the older films but with a modern twist now that all the principles are in place.

Also I was fully expecting and utterly crushed that Kincaid was not played by Sean Connery. It would have been perfect.

Regicide is fine, FFA always pissed me off in past Halo games because it is incredibly hard to move up the scoreboard if you were not already in the lead.

I'm more pissed that there is no SWAT, it was one of the most played game types in Reach and its been the only game type I played regularly since it was officially added and even before when you had to do custom games.

I don't own the game, but I swear on TNT they played some SWAT.

They did but they were also playing private custom games NOT playing on the public playlists.

Yeah SWAT is only available in private matches it is not available in matchmaking. They said they kept the matchmaking streamlined so there would would be higher player counts for everything. Which is kinda dumb people will play what they want to play why limit that.

@Hailinel: Yeah but that doesn"t make it any less disappointing that the game has for all intentions been buried. Nintendo may have gotten that game off the ground but they will never do anything with it. MGS1 as a 14 year old PSone game has no rerelease options for it. It got an unceremonious PSN release but nothing on the level of a complete MGS package. Plus it is incredibly dated tryign to go back and play it today.

The HD collection as well would have really benefited from the full trilogy of the first three games. Twin Snakes existence makes another remake redundant but Nintendo's involvement makes the likelihood of anyone ever seeing it again nonexistent.

Nintendo performed QA on the game and provided additional technical and production assistance. They were directly involved in the production of the game.

Entirely missing the point of what I was saying. I am fully aware of Nintendo's direct involvement, make mention of it several times. It is what makes it virtually impossible for TTS to ever see the light of day again because Nintendo has claim to it so it prevents Konami from doing anything in the future with it because Nintendo sure as hell will not take the initiative to update or rerelease that title.

You know what nobody ever brings up about Silicon Knights, MGS The Twin Snakes. Sure the studio that did the cutscenes went a bit overboard in spots but SK did a bang up job with that remake. Utter shame it was produced by Nintendo so it will never get the HD re-release on other consoles it deserves.
