What a great movie, Fifty Dead Men Walking is an emotional journey through one mans decisions that lead to his very close escape from death.
It follows a young man called Martin McGartland and is based off the book, same name and written by Marty.
Based on real events, it starts with the ending... Martin getting shot 6 times at point blank by a Provo Hitman then shows what happened quite a few years earlier. Martin as a hustler selling stolen goods to residents in his home community in west belfast during the 1980's when the conflict between Unionists/brits and Irish Republicans was at its peak.
Unsuspecting Martin gets arrested by the occupying British forces present at the time and is given the choice between serving time in prison for selling stolen goods, or becoming a recruit of the british army to spy from within the IRA, choosing the second, he became an IRA informer. If he abandoned the Brits.. they would arrest/kill him, if he was discovered to be a tout, the IRA would torture and eventually kill him.
Dont want to spoil any for anyone who may want to see it, but the rest of the movie is great, following Martin as he has a child, stands by as some of his friends are killed, and is forced to rat out his friends to the police.
And the ending is fucking awesome.                                          8/10

Martin McGartland  was shot 6 times point blank range in 1999 in Canada by a Provo Hitman, he barely survived and is still on the run today.

The reason I still believe in PC gaming? I've played a dozen LFD2 pickup games now all with great people using voice chat and teamwork.
