I didn't go out at midnight but my PS4 ordered through amazon with normal shipping got the Hell Ya! amazon upgrade to launch day shipping so instead of next week it should be arriving this afternoon.
@snakelinksonic: I'll keep looking. My big problem with 1.0 was I think mostly mechanical and I am not sure I've found a blog / article from the devs that says, "hey this is why 2.0 is going to kickass". It seems like all of the blogs I've seem from the devs are a big list of mostly cosmetic changes especially when it comes to the combat system. When really the 1.0 release was pretty bad and needed a lot of big changes to make it great compared to the already saturated market out there.
So I have tried to find a good resource that outlines what has changed and what is "better" about 2.0. It doesn't seem like they have changed a whole lot ... but perhaps I'm missing it. Anyone have good links for this summary?
Not sure myself if I do end up picking up a next gen console it will most likely be PS4. It just seems like Sony is more willing to be an open platform for people to make great games while Microsoft is pushing a closed DRM ridden platform for their partners to nickel and dime customers. A big plus is Sony's willingness to keep the platform open for indy games which seem to be what I play a lot of lately. Also the PS4 is $100 cheaper.
I agree with these assessments, while I might keep on with it for a bit longer I think I am done. I had great hopes that this would keep a lot of what made RO great but instead it ended up just being a tired MMO rehash. It did make me go back and look at the status of RO and wow they have really added a lot of content since I last played.
I created a swordsman named RandomKnight he is up to level 10. I might switch to another class at some point if it turns out i don't like knights. So far i'm iffy on the game, it seems ok but lost a lot of charm that the original had in the conversion to 3d. I'll most likely give it until level 30 to see how things play out.
I was going to remote load this while at work but apparently you can't do that with FTP games on steam so I'll download when I get home and play for a touch tonight.
