Here's the thing and I have a feeling I'm going to be called greedy/racist/whatever but yes, the idea of paying for essentailly freeloaders bothers me significantly.

I'm all for health care for everyone with the caveat that you work and contribute to the AMERICAN economy.  Those families that are struggling to make it working 2 jobs, by all means, give them the option for affordable/subsidized/free health care.  Now they shouldn't have the "best of the best" but they shouldn't be denied treatment from a certified institution for anything medical related.  That means everything from a cold to true medical emergency.

Those that refuse to work or sit around and collect welfare, unemployment for years, illegal immigrants that take advantage of stupid policies, etc... those people can get bent.  They are already strip mining the country as it is.  Now the government wants to essentailly give them more?  Terrible.

I don't care about the politcal parties at all but with the poor spending of my tax money that has been displayed in the past year, I am seriously worried for my country.  Example: the current presidency dropped 9 million dollars of tax payer money to Haiti.  That is one example of a serious misappropriation of funds.  That tax money is to go to making our own country better not everywhere else.   Yes that means I'm also against the war though I have to support our troops so that creates a conflict of interest, but I digress.

My feeling is people in the US wouldn't be so against this if it didn't already seem like we were getting screwed.   I work a decent job, pay a ton for taxes, and pay a lot for my health care program.  The thought of someone getting the same amount of care that I pay a lot for, for nothing, really bothers me.  This isn't even touching the other random crap they are throwing into this huge document,
