Let me first say I have a PS3, 360 and a good gaming PC. I play Eve everynow and then for a while at a time and then leave and come back to it.
I was a huge fan of Dust when it was first announced, the idea is amazing, but making it a PS3 exclusive just killed it for me. I have no interest in playing this on the PS3, PC sure, and if they do release it, I'll pick it up.
Also such as shame it's not out on 360 too. It was amazing how when it was announced as a PS3 exclusive nobody clapped.
I don't get what the big deal is. It takes the person who calls the crate, 2 seconds to grab it and your team 5 seconds. So as long as you start first, then it's good.
Also some people call them, then die, or run away. Those are free for all.
I've never had one stolen under my nose, but have had other people take mine for sure.
" How anyone could ever play a current gen game on an SD TV is beyond me. I've tired it, it makes everything look like it was for the PS2. I use a 1080p. And no, they're not expensive. "
Dude, 1080p tv's are expensive. I can't afford one so I play on an old SD TV. "
You could buy a 1080p Samsung 25" monitor for like $250 in costco!
" I was never a fan at all of hardcore in play, however, hardcore in theory sounded good. Every combatant takes more damage, which means less bullets to kill. Everyone plays tactically and brings their A-Game. No, they don't. Everyone just camps and uses the most stealthy perks which encourage even more camping when everyone notices that nothing is showing up on radar or heartbeat. Great...lol. "
Don't you have speakers? Turn the volume up. I am getting more kills on Hardcore than I did on standard and it's awesome. You don't need the radar or heartbeat sensor to find the enemy. "
Yeah i'm gonna hear the guy sitting in a corner with his m16. Good idea genius! Remember, I said everyone uses stealthy perks: that means ninja (no footsteps on pro, cold blooded, etc. I am not gonna hear anything. think about it. "
I don't have ninja pro yet, so didn't know about the no footsteps.
Either way, just learning the camping spots and go hunting.
" Hardcore mode in CoD is a joke. It takes the "who sees who first wins" gameplay to a whole other level. I'm not going to go into why it's a bad thing, people already have their own opinions. It's not hardcore. It is realistic, though. It'd be more fitting for the mode not to be so mislabeled. I don't play it, I just would like to see a real "hardcore" competitive playlist with serious settings and a balanced perks set (or perks banned altogether, whatever the community decides on). It's dumb that IW made a hardcore mode and didn't design it for hardcore players, seeing as ALL major tournaments use drastically conflicting settings*. *Based on the past two CoD titles. "
I presume you hean that CoD is MW2 right?
It's very similar to the last two games though:
More damage or Less armor/ health
No HUD
What's good about this is that some of the perks / addons now make sense in hardcore:
Heartbeat sensor to find people without the hud
Ninja to be invisible on heatbeat sensor
Bling, though useful for standard also, but can allow heatbeat sensor and scope for instance
Tactical Insertion is more useful for slower paced gameplay (though is great to have it near you to get quick revenge in standard)
Scavenger for me is useful as the longer you last, the more ammo you use and lets you keep your own weapon as opposed to taking from the dead
While I think hardcore is well named, you really are looking for a "Tournament" mode. What settings would you be after then?

I ordered my wheel at the very end of September and the wait is killing me. What's worse is that I have no idea when the stand is getting shipped to me either and without the stand I have no way to use the wheel even if it did turn up!
" I've actually feared that this day would come since the launch 360's are junk, but this was the worst timing ever. Luckily I have money to buy a new one if the warranty isn't there (which I have to figure out) or switch platforms to ps3 at this point and buy a 360 later on. I don't know, I'll have to sleep over it. Bottom line is that I want to play MW2 soooo baad. "
You don't want to go to the PS3 from the Xbox. I have both and the Xbox beats the PS3 hands down. Better matchmaking, I have more friends on 360 and PS controller suxs donkey balls for playing MW2.
