Games I wish I could get into.

These are games I wish I could have gotten more out of. A lot of these are great titles, but no matter how much I try to revisit them, I just can't get hooked. Please know that I am not trying to attack anyone's favorite series or games, it is just my opinion.

List items

  • No matter how many reviews I read from critics to users saying this was the greatest game ever created, it was easy forgettable for me after the first play through. Not saying I feel it is a bad game, I just wish I could see what a lot of others do about this game.

  • I love FPS's (though I feel this is a little more than a basic FPS) and I wish I could join the legends who proclaim this as one of the best reasons to play video games, but something just doesn't work with me. I'm not sure if it is the characters or the presentation or a bunch of little things, I just can't get into this series at all.

  • I actually love both Mass Effects, I just can not for the life of me go back to the game once I have finished it. A lot of people really enjoy playing these games over and over again, but it just feels so much like work to me.

  • I remember playing the original a lot and still have fond memories of that game. However, after being sucked into buying 2 and 3 I just don't get the appeal. The game to me feels like a never-evolving series in more than one way. Each game literately feels the same to me. I am sure fans could clearly point out the differences, but probably could not convince me that their is much more to the game that Halo 1 didn't cover.

  • As much as the game kept me intrigued to continue, I could help but feel very underwhelmed throughout the entire game. It all felt way to much like I was just crawling through a movie just trying to get to the end. I know it has all these great different branching story consequences and I respect that, but I doubt I'll ever touch or think of this game again. It is a shame because it sounds like people had a great time with this.

  • I really love game action adventure games with great fighting systems. Even more so I love characters with swords and guns. But every game I played in the franchise (never played 2) has left me wanting. Not sure if it is the combat system or the way hitting the enemies feel it just doesn't seem like there is much weight to it to me. It feels like an amazing franchise that I am sorely missing out on.

  • I wish I could agree with the critics on this game. The city is wonderful, I like the way the cars drive, I don't mind the shooting, and the cell phone is really cool. But it is so mind numbly boring to me. I actually like the characters too, but it took so much away that I loved from the previous games. I almost feel like if they could combine Saint's Row's fun into the story and world of GTA then I would love it to death. Unfortunately I could even get though the story I got so bored of it.

  • I went out and bought this game solely based on reviews. Unfortunately I just don't think this is that good of a game. The level design is so bland, the guns are joke, (out side of the sweet handgun), and the aiming down sights doesn't really feel like actually aiming down the sights.(the actually cross hair is actually a little up-it just feels odd to me)

  • I just can't escape the PC versions of this game. If it wasn't for the fact the games can more than not end fairly soon (which is one of the points to this game) I would love it. I was just hoping I could perhaps put it on long run or something, but it just doesn't matter. This is a great looking Civ title and great feeling console game, unfortunately I don't think I played this game more then a couple days.
