Divinity: Original Sin 2 might be the best game I've played this year and it will maybe get a passing mention from Vinny. 0 chance it makes the list. It should be #1 or #2. Yes the game is that good.

Xenoblade 2 will also not be mentioned but it was an outside contender anyhow. Game is releasing mid-discussions AND it's a massive JRPG? 0 chance of GB mentioning it. I hope we get a quicklook though.

Gotta agree that Suikoden is an amazing series. I & II are classics in the genre and V was even a great return to form, but apparently no one cared anymore. The series is amazing and well worth the bargain basement prices that Suikoden I & II go for on PSN these days.

I would also add that Heroes of Might and Magic is wonderful as well and that series deserves better than it's getting from Ubisoft atm FOR SURE.

I don't see a lot of people out here talking about Hollow Knight, and I aim to change that!

The game is a wonderful metroidvania style game. Although it leans a lot closer to the Super Metroid stuff than the Castlevania stuff IMO. The artwork is fantastic and the gameplay has tight controls that allow you place the jumps just where you need to. Of course the usual upgrade mechanics are in play, ways to dash and wall jump, and later double jump can be found as you explore, as well as ways to increase your base health and spells to use your soul power on. There is a currency to spend on in-game items and upgrades as well as unlocking fast travel locations, elevators and other shortcuts.

I'm about 8 hours in and could not be loving it more. It provides a wonderful, action-y change of pace from something cerebral like Torment: Tides of Numenera which I just finished. Supposedly the game has mulitple endings and a secret true ending. I've seen people quoting something like 20-35 hours depending on how much of everything you want to complete. That seems like a high amount for this sort of game, but as far as I'm concered I'm loving every minute of it.

Has anyone tried it on console? I heard that that version is kind of a mess.

DO NOT PLAY IT ON CONSOLE. That version is a mess, I've seen reports all over the web of stuttering, insane load times for no discernable reason and other weirdness. The PC version plays wonderfully and has AFAIK no big issues like those. The usual stuff about quests breaking or scripting being weird is present for some as it always is with these types of games.

I've played maybe 3 hours and gotten nearly nowhere, but am loving it. I've spent probably 2 hours just talking to random NPCs in the starting town. The quality of the writing is REALLY noticible. Every named NPC has a story or reason for being there. It's a great start so far.

Some pretty cool ideas here. I'm loving the love for Reno decks and continuing the format into Standard even after Reno himself rotates out (or as I like to think, goes Wild). More Reno and Reno-decks is awesome in my opinion.

Wild to me will forever be the land of Getting Rich.

Just shows me that Engadget isn't the press site I want to follow then. If they are interested in putting business relationships above the consumer's interest, how can I trust their information?

I was wondering if I was crazy when something looked very wrong with the page. Had my Chrome update borked something? Nope the font change was intentional! Thanks for the notice Rorie. Happy Puppy Petting =)

I want to see Mei's iceblock thing (the invulnerable one) be breakable by (lots of) damage. If you pump a BUNCH rounds into that thing you should be able to break it, rather than it being a constant free heal and point contesting tool. Extremely annoying that even an entire team can't stop 1 Mei when you can do things like break Reinhardt's shield.
