Games I've beaten in 2010

I plan to try and keep a list of all the games I beat in 2010.

List items

  • Great game and possibly the most engrossing game I've ever played on a portable system. Now I'm ready to play God of War III.

  • The game wasn't horrible but the campaign is only 4 hours long and gives you no reason go play it again. Glad I didn't pay for this one.

  • Possibly the most underrated game of 2009. I really enjoyed Red Faction I & II but this entry in the series was much better.

  • Excellent game. I cannot believe it has taken me this long to finish the game. On to Uncharted 2!

  • Fun hack and slash game that is a great way to take out some frustration.

  • Much, much better than the first AC.

  • Finished the game right after it came out but just got around to beating it on Hard mode recently. Other than a few boss fights, there isn't too much difference between normal and hard modes.

  • I love the world of Rapture. Game has a very engrossing story and doesn't deserve all the flak it gets from the press. The addition of multiplayer seemed like a tacky add-on until I actually played it.

  • Excellent RTS. I enjoyed the break from resource management. I would rather manage my squad's stats and weapons than resources.

  • Just finished this game and it is an amazing experience. ME2 was the most polished game I've played in a while.

  • Not a "great" game but I found it very enjoyable with competent mechanics. I had more fun playing the Wolfenstein single player campaign than Modern Warfare 2's single player campaign. MW2 multiplayer is much better though.

  • I want more games like Heavy Rain. The story was engrossing and the way the developers translated everyday actions (making coffee, lightsaber battles with the kids) into controllers actions felt just right. My wife hates video games and even she was on the edge of her seat during some of the more traumatic moments. The game isn't for everyone, but if you are willing to bend your expectations of what it means to play a video game then you will be rewarded with the most well-developed characters and engaging story available (in video game form) to date.

  • Fun game pick up and play style dual stick shooter. The game doesn't do anything innovative but it's fun, has a good sense of humor, and is a very entertaining way to kill some free time. It is also an excellent example of why the PSP 2 should have TWO analog sticks.

  • Fun game from beginning to almost-end. JC2 reminded me a lot of Red Faction Guerrilla, the story was rubbish and the game could use some more overall polish but it is always fun to blow stuff up. However, JC2 had one of the worst last missions ever. I don't understand why they would ask you to play a hacking mini-game in the middle of a thousand respawning bad guys & a helicopter (and you have to start over if you get shot). After 20 hours of fun, the last 30 minutes are a bad memory for JC2 to leave behind.

  • Neat ideas but like most movie games it lacks a necessary polish. I haven't seen the movie but the story in the game makes absolutely no sense by itself and Wesley is the easiest character to hate, ever- I'm relatively certain that his dialog was written by a 13 year old boy. Oh yeah, and it is the shortest game ever made. Even with all of its problems, not a bad way to spend an afternoon for <$10.

  • Very funny diablo meets WoW type of loot fest. The quests got repetitives if you beat the game 100% but still highly recommended for the price. Unfortunately, the fun only lasts 7-10 hours.
