I'd be pretty interested to find out how many Ouya are out there because I thought it was already extinct.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3D and LoZ Majoras Mask for 3DS. Freakin' great games and will definitely be in my goty list.

Alundra (PS1), Hotline Miami, Super meat boy and MGS3 Snake Eater on Vita. MGS3 is in the goty list too.

PS4...Shadow of Mordor and Journey. Nemesis system is so good and would work with heaps of other games but I hope it doesn't become a standard. Journey was as good as I thought it would be and that is something considering it was #1 on the goty list I made when it came out before I'd even played it. I just know what I like haha.

It's that time of year again (just like last year): a time of reflection, a time to revisit the past, a time to figure out why you spent so much of the year playing Phantasy Star for the Master System.

Oh jeez, still on my pile of shame where I'm at the last dungeon and I'm completely lost. Getting back into that is gonna be so so hard...

Perhaps they shouldn't be police if they are so afraid of what's out there. Saying they were afraid for their lives when shooting someone is a poor excuse when they claim it in cases where they end up killing people who actually don't pose a threat to them.

Not too sure what your point is (I was speaking more rhetorically) and I'm not familiar with this case you mentioned either. But your comment "Perhaps they shouldn't be police if they are so afraid of what's out there" is a pretty brave thing to say. Is your life potentially at risk from a random stranger at any given time where you work?

Cops protect their own in any police force. There are plenty of cases where it has happened if you do some research or read local news of other countries, not just the U.S. Especially when it comes to protecting their blessed pension. Just because it happened one time in Chicago its primarily a US thing? Yeah right.

the lack of personal responsibility on the part of these "victims" is ridiculous.

I agree with everything you said. Don't act like a pork chop and you won't get killed. I've had the situation where cops have arrested me for no reason (to this day I have no idea what the charge was). Rather than fight back or try to run when I was being man-handled, I got chucked in the cells, got released on bail but you know what, judge dismissed it in court and I'm still alive.

Even if I had fought back...well I'd still be alive cos our cops don't carry guns nor do the general public carry them round either.

They talk about the gang mentality that cops have and the way they cover for each other. They also talk about quotas and how officers are pressured to make arrests even when there is no crime.

These arguments are a problem in any police force and not just the US.

I think the cops in the US are probably more heavy handed because of fear. They don't know what the next "target" is carrying, and considering the US has more guns per captia I can't say I blame them. So yeah, get the guns off the streets, remove the fear for police that their life is at risk 24/7 (especially in Baltimore jesus) and you might get some improvement.

They'll reveal it in the next movie, if not the one after. I don't recall Vader's motivations for turning to the dark side ever coming up until the prequels were made

That's a bloody good point although it wasn't really important in the original trilogy. The Vader character isn't revealed as being a jedi who turned to the dark side though, just that he killed Anakin (before the twist). In context its not really important.

It just seems really half arsed to say oh this bad guy is Han and Leia's son and he's gone all dark side now after smashing Luke's Jedi School. It just seems so pulled out of thin air. I mean its cool that they left heaps open in terms of story but damn is it frustrating. Whens the next one coming out dammit!

One thing that bothered me that I don't think anyone has pointed out is how they didn't really go into what was Kylo Ren's motivation for joining the dark side. At least with Anakin he was doing it to learn powers that would allow him not to lose the ones close to him. I don't see any motivation for Kylo.

And Snoke...he looks like a baddie who should be in a Harry Potter movie.

@jesus_phish: Any good? Kinda reminds me of Theme Park in terms of gameplay and style and I used to love that game.

I chose FFXV simply because I haven't played a Persona game yet (I have P4 on Vita but kinda saving it) and because this FF might be alright.

Don't really see the big deal. No one's putting a gun to your head to buy it. Let them have this and move on. There's more worthwhile things to get razzed up about, this ain't one of them.
