In point and click adventures I'll always try to find every bit of dialogue. e.g. Always try to talk to/examine/kick something that you obviously just need to pick up, just to see if they wrote anything funny. And then examine it again when it's in your inventory..
Always try to exhaust every bit of the dialogue tree, the option most likely to progress must be used last.

as soon as I start the game for the first time, check the options/settings menu (even if there's nothing to check)
Some indie developers are trying to pick up the slack that the bigger studios leave behind, like Eschalon and Age of Decadence.
And as to why there aren't too many of them, it's just too niche. Simple as that. If you really like tinkering with stats you should probably take a look at some SRPGs. My PSP is pretty much an SRPG machine at this point.
I saw this when I was buying Cthulhu Saves the World. Hadn't heard anything about it, so decided I'd pick it up next time I wanted to play a roguelike. Which might be sooner than I expected given all the good things I hear about it.
The biggest problem for me is that they want to run their own matchmaking stuff specifically so they can shut it down when they want you to buy the new one. If this really was about the costs of hosting they would just use the xbox live matchmaking.
Dude whoa. Couple this with the fact that the Gamebomb.ru guy claims he doesn't copy off of Giant Bomb and it's like, these people are all connected mentally through the mind or something. This shit is crazy.
Really? He responded? Where can I read it?
There was someone in this thread claiming to be associated with the site, but I don't think it was ever confirmed.
@kalmis: According to the developers twitter there probably won't be a pre-order page sadly, but I check Steam daily anyway since they started doing daily deals.
