    Finally locked my list down.

    Looking forward to the results, thanks for putting this whole thing together. Mostly this has made me realise I missed out on playing even more games this year than I thought. Someone get me 100mg of Far Cry 3 stat.

    Actually that was a bit of swag that you could get for visiting telltales booth at PAX this year. I think they specifically sent the Bombcrew that framed version along with Clementines hat simply because they have a good relationship. Didn't Ryan say he went to the Hobbit with one of the telltale guys? I think both offices are in the same city so it makes sense if they got close.

    This seems really shitty on the surface but it's much better to do what needs to be done now, while they still have control rather than keep going ass they have for the past few years. I'm glad to see (in mybusiness ignorant eyes) a sensible move like this in the face of so many closures.

    That RPS article blows me away, It's much easier to see what happened to Crysis2 when you see that Yerli is living in a fantasy land. It seems he isn't down to earth enough to focus on the important things like gameplay but not crazy enough to actually create something really unique. . . .

    God I loved the first half of Crysis, I'd be fine with more of that.

    I had kind of wanted this to be Solidus before I brushed up on the time lines, looking at the visual stuff like the car, the prosthetic forearm and the chopper at the end, the setting needs to be between 1976 and 1989 which would put Solidus in his teens at most. As much as I want to see more of Solidus' story, MGS V won't be that game.

    The weird thing is with with that setting how could the main character be Big Boss either?, No arm and a re-damaged right eye? Who knows, maybe the events of Ground Zeroes lead to a serious case of PTSD and MGS V is all a psychosomatic response to being put in an institution >_<

    The important thing to remember though is Big Boss did spend time in a coma after 1972, which like said is when Zero got the program started to clone the twins, So there is canonical precedent for this being Big Boss, except that means the events in the hospital take place before Peace walker which seems. . . . . ridiculous.

    Fingers crossed that the main character is a genetic failure of the first round of cloning, that's the only plausible way I can justify a snake of this age, in this time period with these injuries.

    Whatever man I just want to play it.

    @MooseyMcMan said:

    @Reisz: No, it's very clearly a game being made by some part of Kojima Productions, that much is clear by the engine, the name of the lead on the game being an anagram of Kojima, and the game being published by Konami (or at least guys with shirts for it were at Konami's party after the VGAs).

    I just think it'd be cool if it was a Kojima made game that wasn't a Metal Gear game.

    And yes, we definitely don't have all the information yet. And I'm not one to complain about retcons, because the MGS story as a whole has been kind of a mess for years. I just appreciate the individual stories in the games for what they are, because those are usually pretty good.

    Absoloutely man, I just can't see a FOX engine game from Kojima's studio that is obviously already pretty deep in development not being a Metal Gear title, and that is ignoring all the rest of the visual similarities. Either way I am as ready for a new Kojima IP as anyone, though I do always have a Metal Gear itch to scratch.

    I want to be clear too, I wasn't referring to anyone in particular with that retcon comment, more referring to the vitriolic tone of places like mgsforums.com I don't even know why any of those guys play these games any more.
