Most of my memories from last generation start in late 2006. Kind of took a console break after GTA SA came out but got sucked back into the hype big time during my freshman year of college in 06. Was going to wait out for a PS3 before hearing about the major shortages so went with a Wii instead. Couple weeks after owning a Wii I decided to join a few friends and get a 360 so I sold the Wii to pay for most of the costs. First three games purchased were R6: Vegas, GoW, and Saints Row which I played the shit out of all of them for the next several months. Loved my 360 dearly until it committed suicide a year later.

2. Haven't really paid a whole lot of attention to 2015 games but Bloodborne, MGS5, Witcher 3, and Zelda are definitely the ones I'm most excited for.

Been playing CS since early in the 00s and never gotten bored of it yet. In fact with the skins and MM in csgo I'm having more fun than I ever did in the past. Can't really get into Halo, CoD, BF, or other big shooter franchises but CS has me by the balls.

Currently a couple hours into Bravely Default. First FF type JRPG in a long long time. Digging the combat, job system, and overall plot. Definitely not a fan of the innocent romance sidestories between the main party members.

Besides that I'm going to be picking away at Witcher 1 and 2, Wolfenstein TNO, and Bayonetta 2 over this next month.

RTS or MOBA since neither have I ever enjoyed. Would say Visual Novels if they even counted as games.

CS:GO

Been playing this series for well over a decade and the formula never gets stale. Even the maps never get boring after all these years and all the thousands of hours I've personally spent on them. Just shows you don't need yearly installments and map packs to keep the genre fun.

Probably too mainstream but Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze was my favorite game of the year and possibly my favorite platformer ever. As for a little less mainstream, Stealth Inc 2 is a great little puzzle platformer with some very dark humor.

I love my Vita. Many of the retail titles are great, the downloadable library has some good games, and even a bunch of PSM gems have been releasing. The releases for this year are pretty spotty but it has enough of a library now to keep you busy until the big 2013 titles drop.

Achievements/trophies are definitely part of my playing experience but they're not in my console decision process due to both the durango and ps4 having the system in place. Plus I have about equal amount of achievements as I do trophies so I'm not even more invested in one over the other.

Usually just play whatever I feel like playing at the time. If I spend too much time organizing my playtime then it feels like a job.
