Dear Patrick,

Articles like this are why I love Giantbomb and the people who run it so much. You all have so much heart for what you love and the people attached to it. It's the greatest thing to see you guys have such great relationships with each other and game developers. You collaborate with the great people of industry to make video games better. To put it all in perspective: that's what it's about! To encourage the creation of better games, unique games, the ones that tell great stories, spark the imagination, and at the end of the day, ARE FUN, MAKE YOU FEEL GOOD, MAKE YOU LAUGH, CRY, AND REMEMBER WHAT IT'S LIKE TO BE A KID (caps on purpose...I apologize, I needed to emphasize). Why do people play games other than for those things. I know you guys get that. Brad wouldn't play Dota 2 or Starcraft time after time if it wasn't something he enjoyed. You wouldn't play indie games if you didn't love the interactive media known as video games. I can tell that you all are so excited for video games because new things are happening in the industry, and that excited spirit makes me extremely excited as well. As you are, in my opinion, just about the best thing the internet has to offer, I want to thank you, Jeff, Dave, Roarie, Brad, Vinny, our unforgettable Ryan Davis, and the rest of the Giantbomb staff that work so hard and diligently to create a site and content that reflects what it's all about: a love of video games. I've said more than once to myself while listening to the Bombcast or reading an article here, "I love this."
