Did I pass into another dimension or wasn't there a Beastcast where Abby and the crew were answering questions and phone calls... but it disappeared from my iPhone and anther one took it's place?
I've been a gamer since I was a wee lad in the 70's, I've owned and played just about every system, and LOVED the NES. However, I never purchased any of the MegaMan games over the course of me owning an NES.
I read about them in video game magazines and wanted to play them, just never got around to it.
At some point in the 90's or maybe early 2000's I got some Windows PC game collection and it had some MegaMan game in it and I tried it then, which also lead me to trying it finally on the NES. That said, I never knew anything about the bosses and what order to play them in, I just knew they were a pain in the ass and I could never beat any of them. I always thought I would just look the boss order up and play them... eventually.
Fast forward to the "new" MegaMan 9 and 10 games being released, I purchased them as I love retro games, etc. Booted them up and never was able to beat a boss, so... backburner.
Then came the new collections that had 1-8 on them, so I purchased those, and gave MM1 a shot again, still nothing going on beating a boss.
ALL THIS being said, I just have to say... watching Alex play through these games makes me NEVER want to play one, ever.
I'm not even sure why these games are highly regarded classics. They are the cheapest, most terribly designed games I think I have ever seen. They are not even hard because they are hard, they are impossibly hard because they are designed so fucking poorly.
So, thanks Alex from saving me the time and frustration of playing these lame-ass games.
I bought this game after watching the QL. I was interested before but Dan sold me on it.
That said, I've put about 2 hours into it and have had 4 fatal crashes back to the PS4 OS asking me to report the issue and one time where when I died it took me back to the area where you can spend your collected items on upgrades and I could move the cursor around and stuff but the game wouldn't respond to any button presses on any of the face/shoulder buttons. I had to close the game and relaunch it then it was fine.
All of the crashes seemed to occur when I died and it was on the loading screen, it would just sit there and the loading percentage counter never would appear, then it would dump to the OS.
Playing on a PS4 Pro, so not sure if it is buggy on the Pro and not the normal-ass PS4 or if it's just buggy.
