what in the world would make you open a conversation with a meme
The same reason you'd greet a member of the tribe with a secret handshake. It's an "in" thing. Outsiders don't get it, but the two of you do.
Seriously folks, human interaction is not that hard to understand.
But what are we supposed to do if they don't know the secret handshake? I expect a hatchet to the back of the head is the appropriate response? See OP, this is what you were supposed to do. God damn it!...
Oh my god I had a conversation just like this with myself last night (sad, I know). I was watching an interview on CNN and was wondering what would be the most appropriate Giant Bomb shirt to wear during it. Then I went into a whole thing about what would it mean to wear a shirt like that without mentioning what it's about. Then I came to the conclusion it's like a secret handshake or ring. If somebody recognizes and acknowledges it then you're both in the know and caught up right away on a mutual thing you both like.
This is hard and awkward for all.. I find myself being a grumpy bastard to everyone after finding out a man I haven't even met has passed away. That says it all really. But I think I speak for everyone when I say; you follow/listen to someone at least once a week since 2008, you start to gather their opinions, beliefs and personality. I think then, you can consider them somewhat a friend. Given the amount of loyal members on this site - we have all lost a dear friend. Ryan you jerk, why did you have to die man? A troll right up to the last second. Trolling us all even after death. My thoughts go out to his friends and family.
I'm on the fence with this one. It looked great in the quicklook. Do you feel it has any kind of longevity? Online looks pretty interesting. Currently downloading the demo.
Well, I'm out the job. Spent my shift today packing up the entire store. It was quite a sad thing, really. We had a good store, gave good service, and got few complaints, but they've ditched us. We knew they would but even so the reality hurts, I'm unemployed again and so are 5 good guys I worked with.
Long term employees aren't even getting redundancy pay.
Bye bye job, bye bye Gamestation. I'll have maybe another shift, which will just be another day of boxing up all the stock we've got left.
That sucks man. We are still open just now. Spent all day just playing games on the big screen today in the shop. Had to be suitably rated games though. So a lot of Beijing 2008 :P
Are you sure about the redundancy pay? Don't they legally have to? Correct me if i'm wrong.
