Which video-game "sex image" do you recall most?

In other words, which image (image in the wider sense) really impressed you, even tempted you to buy a game, or generally had the biggest impact on you. I'm a little older, and so the strongest video-game sex image in my mind, would probably be the female warrior in the front cover of  Barbarian 2  in the late 80's. Inside the box, besides the cassette and the instructions, there was a fairly big poster of hers too. Don't think anything "naughty", I was too little at that time.

Probably the sex minigame in the first GoW.

The ones from The Wticher were pretty funny.

Yeah, those found in The Witcher, but that alone did not prompt me to buy the game of course.

I too think I'm gonna have to go with God of War. Maybe even God of War 2. In God of War 2, Kratos and the girls moved from the bed to the hot tub. Oh yeah. ;)

The Forsaken ad girl. Anybody remember her?

Fahrenheit/Indigo Prophecy had some relatively mature sex scenes in it, cut from the USA release. I was generally impressed with how they handled those, except for they one in the protagonist's apartment, which they turned into a minigame... yeah.

This thread just gave me a huge flash back for some reason.
While not tempted to buy a Sega Saturn, this actual magazine ad defiantly has a long lasting impression on me when I was a kid. But not the kind you might think....

...So there I was: A young gamer still in late elementary school. I believe I was skipping through the pages of my DieHard GameFan magazine, when my hand skipped a page and I found myself looking at this...

...with my parents sitting right next to me...

I have always considered my parents liberal in nature over the years. That being said, I will never forget the look on my mothers face when she saw this. Ripping the whole magazine out of my hands, words were quickly exchanged, my father groaned (and laughed) and my mother proceeded to give me a three day lecture over how such magazines were targeted to older demographics, (I'm serious, informed parent about games in the 90's. I know, crazy.) and that the ad was objectifying women, and what that meant. (I was a kid.)

I guess this was the earliest moment when I got anything close to "the talk" thanks to this stupid ad now that I think about it.

...So what was the "punishment" out of all this? Something pretty interesting when you think about it. Instead of tossing the whole magazine in the trash, the ad in question was cut out and tossed. Yup. My parents let me keep the magazine. Pretty spiffy.

For the ad itself...God lord, where do you start?
I remember Jeff Gerstman getting upset over the term "gamer", here's a prime example of it. NOTHING ELSE MATTERS, for you gamer! An ill-fated triple 32-bit processor is way more important than...EVERYTHING.
We can stick a naked girl in the ad because girls don't play games! Plus boobs are awesome and you, being a gamer, like boobs because your totally a dude who shotguns beer and talks about triple 32-bit processors!
(Note: To be fair, I personally do like boobs and beer.)

I'm really happy that there are more gamers of the opposite sex gaming now. This wouldn't have lasted a moment without some blog crying foul if it was made today. While games themselves have issues regarding women, (see: Ivy.) this was produced by a console manufacturer for god sake.

I'm so happy this method of advertising worked so favorably for Sega in the long-term.

That, will probably be the funniest thing I read all day. Thank you so much for sharing.

A fps featuring a busty lady dressed in red leather, black hair thought her name was something had an X in it. The protagonist was black and had dreadlocks.  I can't recall seen to recall that game its name, it was pretty famous. There was a budget priced sequel that came out for it a year or 2 ago. The reason this game comes to mind is because when i was little the PC magazine i was member of had her cleavage on the cover, that made quite an impact.

edit: just randomly recalled the name of that game: Sin

Good post! Actually it brought to my mind this:

I haven't ever played any of the Gex series games, so I always wondering what could possibly relate this beautiful blonde to a gecko. I stared at the magazine ads of this game with interest, but at the end I never bought it. It was too obvious that she served as a bait. And the target group for this game were boys under the age of 10.  Too young to appreciate nudity, but old enough to have a faster heart beat with their foreign language teacher, who every single one of them looked like the girl next to Gex.

Now that I think of it...

Why chicks are always put to the left? Is there some special cryptic symbolism to this? Is that the first thing the cover-box designers learn to their school, or something?

lol what about Duke Nukem 3D?

In Killer7, when the maid chick is wearing the schoolgirl uniform and banging Harman Smith in his wheelchair. Had very little to do with the game's story (aside from continuing to establish the tone and role of the maid's character).

By the way, if you still haven't played Killer7, you still suck. That game is god damn awesome.

Sex doesn't influence me to buy games, therefore when I see it on covers and in games, it usually discourages me. I'd say the only sex scene/image I'm cool with is the one in Mass Effect, because that was part of the story, where usually in games that have it, they put it into the game just to say that have it.
